Summary
The first nine months of Donald Trump's term were stormy, outrageous - and absolutely mesmerising. Now, thanks to his deep access to the West Wing, best-selling author Michael Wolff tells the riveting story of how Trump launched a tenure as volatile and fiery as the man himself.
In this explosive audiobook, Wolff provides a wealth of new details about the chaos in the Oval Office. Among the revelations:
- What President Trump's staff really thinks of him
- What inspired Trump to claim he was wiretapped by President Obama
- Why FBI director James Comey was really fired
- Why chief strategist Steve Bannon and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner couldn't be in the same room
- Who is really directing the Trump administration's strategy in the wake of Bannon's firing
- What the secret to communicating with Trump is
- What the Trump administration has in common with the movie The Producers
Never before has a presidency so divided the American people. Brilliantly reported and astoundingly fresh, Michael Wolff's Fire and Fury shows us how and why Donald Trump has become the king of discord and disunion.

Compelling reads like a thriller
I found this book so interesting filling in shocking detail as a fly on the wall of the on going sage of what will doubtlessly be recorded in history as a turning point in human civilisation and culture from democracy to who knows where...

Excellent Insight!
Fact or fiction? It does seem to lean towards fact based on the blast of contempt from Trump. The behaviour of the President since the books release seems to validate it's content. Sad that our worst thoughts on this presidency seem to be in line with this book. What's even more incredible is the impotence of the House of Representatives and Senate. Will those sitting by seemingly unwilling to stand up for the majority of Americans ever feel a sence of conscience? We all understand there are privileged and well remunerated jobs at stake. Come on America wake up and act responsibly.

Fascinating
A more modest account than hype and certainly confirms many stories in media. Steve Bannon emerges as unlikely anti-hero given that while his views are abhorrent he clearly has a code of honour and was distributed by events he witnessed

Worth the 10hours plus I spent all in one go
What made the experience of listening to Fire and Fury the most enjoyable?
Very intriguing - almost like watching (or listening) to a box office hit only that no writer or bunch of writers could have been able to come up with or make this stuff up, which in itself is what makes the book riveting.
Who was your favorite character and why?
none of them
Which character – as performed by Michael Wolff and Holter Graham – was your favourite?
Bannon - he truly is an evil despicable piece of work. Trump is of course the inglorious basterd
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Unbelievable Horror at the White House!
Any additional comments?
Great story telling by both Holter and Wolff - was a thoroughly enjoyable read.

Just as I imagined it to be
Very interesting, even if only half of it is accurate and you dislike Trump you'll enjoy this book, it is a crazy period of history we are living through, a bunch of more distasteful characters would be hard to imagine in a weird fictional novel, let alone actually assembling this group in the flesh. The backstabbing, posturing, lying and manipulating is off the scale, If you are the fruit of your surroundings then Trump is a crusty old turd surrounded by real pieces of sh*t. Knowing how much Trump will hate this book (there's no chance he ever read it all) makes me smile.
God Bless America!

Confirms everything you probably suspected.
This isn’t a shock and awe book full of gasp inducing moments, if you are keen enough on American politics to want to listen to it, you probably knew 70% of it & could guess the rest. There are a few laugh out loud moments: “scalp reduction surgery” is all I’m saying, but otherwise it is a very measured and well paced book, that tries to lay out the events as they were told to the author.
You get a great sense of the total unpreparedness of the administration at all times, incompetent in fighting and a worrying insight into just how unfit Trump is to be the leader of the free world. The most shocking thing to me was that it almost made me feel sorry for Steve Bannon (having to work for such idiots), but then I remembered he’s the antithesis of all I hold dear and so I just paused and chuckled before carrying on.
If you’re a political junkie like me, I’d recommend the book to round out what you are seeing on the news and in the papers, but if you are hoping to see the final nail in the political coffin, your best bet is to hang on for what Bob Mueller has got up his sleeve.

good book a bit sensationalist
good narrative, not sure how credible, even if 10% is true it's quite distressing... :-)

A hoot...
This is a great story - the twists and turns of the world's most powerful man as he causes chaos and is helped along by the back-biting and in-fighting of those closest to him. The JIvanka feud with Bannon and Trump's incessant ramblings that leak out for us all to hear - give a view of the White House in meltdown.
And you wouldn't want it any other way. The chaos created leads to an ultimately ineffective White House - which has to be the only saving grace of a very dangerous farce.
It may be that only a fraction of this is true but it still makes for compelling listening.
