About this listen

Two alien dragon shifters. Two vampires. A whole new world. And I’m in the middle of it all.

One minute, I’m a 19-year-old woman trying to get through life, and the next second I’m in space, charged with saving the human race on an alien planet.

Four men show up vowing to love and protect me...except they aren’t men at all, they're alien dragon shifters and vampires.

They say we’re mates. I say they’re crazy.

I’m charged with a mission: Have their baby.

Um, how about no.

They say it’s destiny. I say I’m a long way from home!

Fire, Blood, and Beauty is a full-length, reverse-harem romance with passion and suspense, including elements from paranormal, sci-fi, and fantasy. There is no cliffhanger and a guaranteed happy ending!

The story was fine, but forgettable. Beyond the unusual combination of space dragons and vampires, the plot was very predictable. You have to be blind not to expect the magical weapon to be what it was.

Eva was mostly fine, until her stupid little tantrum. She calls them “crazy” and says they’re talking nonsense AFTER she has been taken to an entire different planet. I would have bought it if she had said it before they proved to be magical creatures but what is the point of having her act out after all the magic has been proven real? She also has no room to talk about sanity when she took 4 strange dudes into her house without any hesitation, back when she thought they were human.

I also didn’t care for the way the relationship with the mother was presented. I can’t quite out into words why, but I just know it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Plot wise it all felt rather bland. After the wolves, all the action takes place off screen. It makes for a rather boring time, given the potential of the setting.

Also chapter 44 ended up being a repeat of the file for chapter 43. Chapter 44 is completely absent from my download so I missed whatever happened there. Which I doubt was anything terribly important but I know audiobooks are expensive to create so the author may want to have someone check that out.
