Summary

When news of the budding romance between a beloved English prince and an American actress broke, it captured the world’s attention and sparked an international media frenzy.

But while the duke and duchess of Sussex have continued to make headlines - from their engagement, wedding and birth of their son, Archie, to their unprecedented decision to step back from their royal lives - few know the true story of Harry and Meghan.

For the very first time, Finding Freedom goes beyond the headlines to reveal unknown details of Harry and Meghan’s life together, dispelling the many rumours and misconceptions that plague the couple on both sides of the pond. As members of the select group of reporters that cover the British Royal Family and their engagements, Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand have witnessed the young couple’s lives as few outsiders can.

With unique access and written with the participation of those closest to the couple, Finding Freedom is an honest, up-close and disarming portrait of a confident, influential and forward-thinking couple unafraid to break with tradition, determined to create a new path away from the spotlight, and dedicated to building a humanitarian legacy that will make a profound difference in the world.

Boring

I have finished chapter 4 and am giving up on this boring boring book. The narrators voice does not help as his voice is also tedious to listen to. I had to give up on it because I felt myself getting irritated listening to such long drawn out dialogue. Certainly don't recommend.

Painful.

Unfortunately this title was too painful to finish. It is basically a PR exercise and I failed to be engaged or interested. The delivery is saccharine sweet to the point of toothache. It is full of contradictions and it is difficult to accept authenticity. The opening gambit and initial attempt to establish Meghan as an every woman is mis-pitched and fails to hit any resounding marks - she is a very careful shopper and when buying designer shoes In selfridges she makes sure to only select pairs which are going to stand the fashion test of time as she is careful with her money???? I would rather hear that she enjoys spending her hard earned money on shoes which she will enjoy wearing, not be railroaded into somehow feeling sorry for her. Not a fan. At all. If you want a good royal memoir - Lady in waiting by Anne Glenconner is head shoulders and thighs above this attempt.

Terrible. I use to like her until i read this book

I liked Megan until I read this book and now I realise why the press hate her. She clearly loves herself and has clearly written this book. If she is so down to earth & modest as the books makes out, why would she approve this book about how perfect she is? Give me a refund now.

desperate, blah blah blah, rubbish

the reason i purchased this book was to give the couple the benefit of seeing their side of the story ( its more so their friends perspective if indeed they did not give interviews or content directly from themselves, theres lots of inimate details given to friends etc...for such a private couple..) my gosh i have never known anyone so self absorbed, what about me, vain, arrogant, obnoxious, ( i could go on and on....) as this couple... in my eyes how desperate must you be to bragg about being an excellent packer...lol... and saint meg is an expert at everything she touches ( except being a duchess and a member of the royal family...and a failure actress. ) then you have the wonder boy blunder... just call me Harry !!! (say no more.) i would not recommend this book...and regret purchasing myself... life is very short please do not waste it on this utter nonsense. If the couple did not agree with the content of this drivvel they would be instructing their solicitor to start another court case. !!!!

Biased

It reads like they’ve written it themselves.....with over 100 sources who remain un named - I just didn’t believe it....no-one is that perfect and everyone else is to blame for their unhappiness.

Don’t bother

If you want to listen to a version of the truth written by saint Megan and poor mistreated Harry this is the book for you because it most definitely was written by them Glossing over any wrong doing on their part they are quick to blame everyone else for their problems especially HRH the Duchess of Cambridge and HRH Prince Charles HRH Prince William gets his share of mud thrown at him as does the Queen at least they had the sense not to throw any at HRH Prince Philip I’m guessing they knew that he would not be shy in displaying his disappointment in them had they taken a swipe at him Poorly written with very obvious attempts to make her look like a saint and him to have been treated so badly it’s not worth a credit there is very little new material in it just old stories with a slant to try to make them look like the victims

Fantastic book!!! Very well written and fair 5/5

Unlike previous books, written by those with their own agenda. A typical horrible and fake account by Lady C. This book has views from many verified sources and people who genuinely know the couple. I think the couple became a scapegoat for a vile campaign to protect a certain someone from the police and Epstein investigation. The way Meghan and Harry have been treated by a certain Daily Fail newspaper is shocking. 100s of vile baseless articles or bullying and abuse weekly, all throughout her pregnancy. Many papers have recently shown 20-50 ways where Kate and Meghan were judged differently for doing the same thing. Research avocado Gate. Racism, sexism and shocking bullying. Makes me ashamed to be British. We don't own you Harry, go be happy. They wanted you to be Harry the lad for life. I apologise for how this nation, namely the British press and many racists have treated you both. Meghan we don't all have perfect fathers or families, the way they exploited yours to belittle and bully you. Who would do that to their daughter before their wedding day. I wish you both well.

A refund please !!

What a load of rubbish - Megan the poor girl - swept of her feet by Harry jetting everywhere while lecturing the world on climate change !! I am so repulsed by the winging of these two ! People are starving, children never go on holidays because they are so poor and if I hear a description of another perfect clothing out fit I will scream - with a world in need these 2 step back and make money! I wanted to hear a balanced view - all I heard was poor us - please go away ! and let ordinary people all get on with our real lives! I don’t want to hear what a perfect clothing out fit Megan wore, listed in minute details ! Enough ! as I go on my blood pressure increases - don’t waste your money - do like I will do - donate it to someone who needs it please .

Rubbish

Omid is completely mesmerised by them it’s embarrassing! Couldn’t finish it due to the ridiculous amount of times he says “a source said” also very irritating how he uses the American pronunciation for everything such as mom, diaper, TomAto! Waste of credit

Just plain boring

Puts you to sleep. Very monotonous voice. The book confirms how entitled, bratty and whiny meghan is too.
