Serena is a reporter who goes undercover to expose the four playboys and they way they use and disregard women. Only things are definitely not what they seem.
I had a bit of a love-hate relationship with Serena, I loved how she bantered with the guys and that she didn't let them dominate her. But I didn't like the reporter side of her, always assuming the worst and just looking for evidence to prove her theory, rather than looking at the evidence first - it made her appear very biased against them from the start and a little shallow. It was a bit of a non-article from the beginning.
Now the guys, I loved from the beginning, they were sweet, sexy, brooding... a bit of everything, and they had valid reasons for the way they had been acting, just hadn't quite gone about it in the right way.
The story has a bit of a twist (not just them being vampires) but you see it coming from several chapters away. It's very hot and steamy.
The second book is all about them getting used to being together, living togather and how the dynamics might work.
There's an outside influence who doesn't appear to be happy with any of them and that does cause some drama.

Serena is a journalist with a story that needs the tea to spill. She’s investigating the playboys with a tendency of dating the same woman.
Carter, Flynn, Smith, and Jayden have a secret. They’re not just rich, they’re also vampires. Looking for their queen is proving more difficult than they thought.
When Serena starts snooping around, she finds them irresistible.
Can the guys find their queen? And will Serena get her story?
Audiobook read. I’ve had the paperback version on the shelf for a while but haven’t gotten around to reading it. When I saw it was now available on audiobook I jumped at the chance to listen to it.
Rachel woods is becoming one of my favourite narratives. Her partner for this one is Charlie Chesterfield. Great performance as usual.
This is a creative, fun read. It’s full of spice and a new town to discover.
