Summary

Soundtrack highlights from the original much-loved BBC TV series starring Penelope Keith and Peter Bowles. This collection was first published on LP in the 1980s. When Audrey fforbes-Hamilton's husband dies, and she is forced to leave Grantleigh Manor, she takes up residence at the nearby Lodge from where she can keep a watchful eye on the Manor s new owner, Richard DeVere! Featuring the cast of the TV series, including Penelope Keith as Audrey fforbes-Hamilton, Peter Bowles as Richard DeVere and Angela Thorne as Marjory Frobisher.

Love To the Manor Born but disappointed with the editing.

although I understand this had to be abridged, I think the choice of sections to cut were a little strange and left some episodes so severely chopped that it spoilt the listeners enjoyment .

What fun

So nostalgic and entertaining
Penelope Keith at her best
I had forgotten how much I enjoyed the series when it was new

My favourite have listen 100 times+
This was super as a tv show, but more superb as an audio
