Summary

Now available for audio download, here are four original BBC television episodes of the much-loved classic sitcom starring Richard Briers, Felicity Kendal, Paul Eddington, and Penelope Keith. More gentle humour and affectionate repartee from Surbiton's most famous sparring neighbours.
Don't miss these other titles in The Good Life series.

Cleverly Done

Where does The Good Life, Volume 4 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of my absolute favourites. Bob Larbey and John Esmonde's superb writing with the matching delivery of the cast. wonderful.

What other book might you compare The Good Life, Volume 4 to, and why?

like Fawlty Towers audio recordings, the original recording has been re-edited with a neat narration so it plays for radio / audio

Which scene did you most enjoy?

Too many excellent moments to choose.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There are laugh out loud moments but generally it's the nostalgic humour of the thing. There's a tiny part of everyone, deep down, wants to be Tom or Barbara. And you can't be the Goods without the Leadbetters living next door. It just wouldn't work.

Hilarious and fun

Everyone wants to be like Barbara and Tom Good. Independent of the confines of society. And you just gotta love Margo and Jerry-opposite views, yet the best friends ever to have in a crisis.
