Summary
WINNER of the BBC Audio Drama Award 2015 for Best Scripted Comedy (Studio Audience)
The complete third and fourth series of BBC Radio 4’s award-winning sketch show, written by and starring the writer of Cabin Pressure.
In the third and fourth series of his hit sketch show, John Finnemore examines a typically eclectic range of issues including making friends, the problem with polymath bestselling authors, the colour of posh men’s trousers, and a history of choice.
There’s also a sketch that is much, much too rude, advice on dealing with bullies, the truth behind some famous anecdotes, and the curious tale of a hard-bitten dame.
Intelligent, absurd and laugh-out-loud funny, John Finnemore’s Souvenir Programme also features Margaret Cabourn-Smith, Simon Kane, Lawry Lewin and Carrie Quinlan. Awarded Best Radio Comedy at the Chortle Awards, John Finnemore’s Souvenir Programme comes from the writer of Cabin Pressure and regular contributor to The Now Show.

It made me laugh... a LOT, to the point where I've got funny looks from other drivers if I've been sitting in traffic at the time!

If you could sum up John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme in three words, what would they be?
So I Hear
What was one of the most memorable moments of John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme?
So I hear you asking for a Ghost Story
What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
Finnemore's fondness of his same four voices,
Margaret Cabourn-Smith's wise adding of Cabourn early in her carrier,
Simon Kane's proper accents used in the show,
Lawry Lewin with his questioning of why someone would pretend to be surprised at a phone call,
and Carrie Quinlan with her owls.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Laughter. And Joy at the traditional ghost story music
Any additional comments?
I don't think i know any ghost stories either

Finnemore is one of the modern greats
This programme is absolutely recommended- the humour is quick, the sketches inventive and it has just the right amount of self referential modern gags.

Hilarious, as ever!
John Finnemore deserves more success and praise. He is as funny and clever as David Mitchell and should be as well known and his work as popular. More please, Mr Finnemore.

Genuis script from John Finnemore, great fun
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I really enjoyed these two series - John Finnemore's writing continues to be top notch, hilariously thought-provoking and childishly silly at the same time. Great fun.
Did the narrators do a good job differentiating each of the characters? How?
I would like to see character actors of the same standard as those who appeared in Cabin Pressure get the chance to do more of the voices in Souvenir Programme, but on the whole they bring the parts to life well, and are fun.
Any additional comments?
Well worth the money, and stands up to being listened to several times. Recommended!
