Part improvisation, part audio cartoon, The Camp Waterlogg Chronicles, Seasons 6 - 10 is a five-volume collection of the successful comedy show created by two radio-theater veterans.
Each volume contains six one-hour segments of the comic misadventures of Sergeant Lefty, Olive Pitts, Ellis the Boatkeeper, Squeaky Lkie, Stinky Peter, Mrs. Terwilliger, and all the wacky denizens of Camp Waterlogg, the dilapidated camp for kids in the Catskills. The creation of husband and wife team Joe Bevilacqua (Joe Bev) and Lorie Kellogg, theses episodes are part of theComedy-O-Rama Hour, a successful radio theater show on Sirius XM Radio.
What would have made Camp Waterlogg Chronicles, Seasons 6 - 10 better?
Better writing. It was a wandering mish-mash of words and humor. Maybe it would have worked better if I was high... but since I don't use drugs it didn't work
What was most disappointing about the authors’s story?
What is disappointing is that this appears to be some of the "best" of the American attempts to perform British style Radio comedy. It just comes off flat and, frankly, not funny. Not funny is the worst judgment that can be applied to a work of comedy.
What didn’t you like about the narrators’s performance?
This was an audio drama, not a narrator. I just didn't like the performances.
What character would you cut from Camp Waterlogg Chronicles, Seasons 6 - 10?
I would have cut however many characters needed to get a reasonably good editor with a sense of comedy.
Any additional comments?
I just didn't like it. Maybe you will. Go ahead and try, but its not a recommendation from me.
