When raven shifter Riley Porter was given sanctuary by the Phoenix Pack, she let them believe she had left her flock. Reluctant to divulge the secrets of her past, she was still embraced as family. Only Tao Lukas, the protective and passionate Head Enforcer of the pack, was resistant to the enigmatic shifter. Until Riley started to arouse in him something other than suspicion.

Tao doesn't trust lone shifters, especially ones so guarded—and tempting. But the sexual tension between them is making them both come undone, and vulnerable to more than desire. All Tao wants is for Riley to stay with him and to trust him with the truth of her past.

As Riley's mysteries come to light, so does a danger that threatens not only her life but the safety of the entire pack. For Tao, keeping Riley safe means keeping her close—forever—as his mate.

This is Rylay and Towls story, Rylay returns to her old flock to celebrate her Uncle's birthday only for her appearance to set off night mares which may have been better left barred. After many interviews they are still none the wiser. Only the trouble then follows her back, alone with a human who believes shifters can cure his brother and tries to force Terrain. With all this excitement you nearly loose the love story. Read brilliantly as always by Jill Redfield.

Both the Mercury and Phoenix series has been seriously addictive. Despite the commonalities in each story, the characters have each had an individual story to tell. I tend to skip across the "mating" scenes, once you've read one you've read them all but I still can't get enough from these characters.

Jill Redfield is an amazing narrator and really brings the characters to life.

Got to love wolves!!!

This is the 6th instalment in the Phoenix Pack series by Suzanne Wright. I enjoyed this book so much. Each one of these books has so much going on and it's written so well. Raven shifter Riley is staying with the Phoenix pack who have fostered 2 shifter children from the Shelter for lone shifters, the children are close to Riley and she came with them to protect and support them. The Phoenix pack have offered her a permanent place in their pack and she gets along amazingly with them all. Except Tao Lukas, Head Enforcer for the pack. He treats her with suspicion and coldness so when Riley wakes after a pack party to celebrate Tao's birthday with a terrible hangover and Tao's naked body lying next to her she is more than a little irritated with herself. Tao on the other hand is pretty happy with the situation. I won't give any more of the story away. I will say that a significant section of this story takes place on another shifter territory and that this book is every bit as intense and sexy as the other books in the series.
I have seen criticism about the similarities between these books and I do not deny that there are similarities, there is a formula. However the stories are about shifters who have similarities in their natures. These similarities are present throughout the series but there is always a strong and intensely thrilling plot that is completely different with every story.
Jill Redfield delivers another outstanding performance. I cannot criticise her performance one bit. Character portrayal is every bit as strong with this book as with the other Phoenix and Mercury pack songs. She consistently maintains the mood and intensity of every situation throughout the book. She brings Suzanne Wrights books to audio life.

The Best Shifter writer out there.

A bit of a different story! Wolves and Ravens. I enjoyed this book as I have with the rest of the series!

Another great book in a favourite series. There is a new twist to the finding a mate with each story. There is plenty of action, hot sex and humourous dialog. Lots to read about.

Great book
