Summary

On the run with two small children and a third due within weeks, Adeline Spencer fears the approaching blizzard will seal their fate. An abandoned cabin is an answer to her prayers. She hopes it will shield them from both the storm and the enraged brother-in-law hot on her tail. A quick and enjoyable story!

This book is a short novella that will give you a break from life for a couple of hours. This story started off with a disturbing wack to the head and just kept the action going! The characters are very easy to like especially Adelide's children. The narrator did a good job of taking on the different characters voices and bringing the story to life. The romance was a little quick but it seems that's how it was in this time in history. Altogether a book worth reading or listening to.
