Summary

Top neurosurgeon Samantha Thomson needs to get married fast and is tightlipped as to why. And with over $200,000 on offer to tie the knot, no questions asked, cash-strapped ER nurse Hayden Perez isn't about to demand answers.

The deal is only for a year of marriage, but Hayden's going into it knowing it will be a nightmare. Sam is complicated, rude, kind of cold, and someone Hayden barely tolerates at work, let alone wants to marry. The hardest part is that Hayden has to convince everyone around them that they're madly in love and that racing down the aisle together is all they've ever wanted.

What could possibly go wrong?

Contains mature themes.

Plan to listen because you’re not going to want to stop

I bought this because I’d read the review on ‘The Lesbian Review’ website and knew I wouldn’t have time to sit down and read it. Oh the irony.

I found myself riveted so much so that I actually found myself sitting down and listening. I spent an extra hour in bed just to finish the book. If that doesn’t tell you enough about the quality of writing and performance nothing I say will make you buy this slow burn, age gap, medical /family drama but you should anyway.

Very enjoyable!

Any additional comments?

I enjoy G Benson's books. "Who'd Have Thought" is a great example of the author's easy to dip into, yet well-structured lesbian fiction page turners with a medical backdrop. Her characters are real, have their own strengths, weaknesses and the storylines she writes are engaging. And who doesn't enjoy some old-fashioned happy soppiness? The audio version of this popular novel, successfully narrated by Tanya Eby, simply adds an extra dimension of enjoyment. I hope G Benson's "Flinging It" gets the audio treatment and soon!

Love this book

I am a new fan of G Benson. The two people from different worlds find common ground. The humor that pops up throughout the book made me laugh out loud. Give us more audio books. I definitely recommend this one.

sweet!

I liked the storyline for this book and I know it's been done sort of in movies before but still I liked how the story unfolded and I was definitely happy with the ending. I was a little sad that it ended. Audible needs more books by this author.

not a fan of the story nor the narrator

The story doesn’t make sense overall. It is very like a teenager’s dream. The narrator doesn’t help with her indifferent voices.

Great Listen!

The book was excellent, having a combination of pleasant angst and heat. I was surprised at some of the turning points but they made the book that much more enjoyable. The characters not only had chemistry but they were well developed and had back stories that were real and emotional. Overall excellent book!

Good book but ugh. :)

I enjoyed this book... it was a little lengthy in many parts, especially when addressing secondary characters that were only mildly important to the theme and overall story line. I thought the narrator did a great job. But my gripe, and it may just be a personal preference, was the ending... the author spent so much time with build up that the end seemed forced and rushed. As if the editors were threatening that she had to finish the book so she just said “fine, here”. I didn’t dislike the ending - just felt it was rushed and a little “meh” is all. Overall, though, I really enjoyed the book. It’s not steamy at all so if you’re looking for that, this isn’t the one. But the chemistry was good between the main characters, even if a bit frustrating occasionally. But that means it affected me. So that’s always a good sign.

Perfect Narrator

Love the voice, very sexy and made listening to it intensely gratifying. The back story was interesting and made me talk about the book trying to figure out why Sam wanted to be married.

So Heart Warming

I adore this book. The relationship growth of these characters was amazing. This book is the first one I've read that had a moment that I listened to about 5 times because of the tug it pulled st my heart. Cheesy I know, but it was so sweet.
I'm si happy about the narrator as well. Great job at bringing these characters to life! ♡

Awful

You could have deleted over half of the book and nothing would be lost. Painfully slow and unromantic. Unnecessary drawn out interactions. You find yourself fast forwarding through parts. Narrator often sounded like a computer reading the book. Characters sound the same. No emotion in voice. So dry. Do not purchase this book if you are looking for a good lesbian romance. No Passion!!

Excellent Audio!

I loved Who'd Have Thought. It's definitely an Ice Queen romance. A top neurosurgeon needs to get and stay married fast. Great story. Warm loving family VS. cold indifferent family. Tanya Eby does an excellent job with the narration.
