Publisher's Summary

Drawn from Wyoming Territory for the first time in his life, Jake Costner sets off to find his destiny, leaving his love behind in Logan Meadows.

Learning that his saloon-girl mother has known all along who sired him, Jake takes his fate into his own hands and travels away from the only family he's ever known. Unaware of what awaits him at the end of his train ride, Jake discovers not only a dying father, but a surprise that will change his life forever. More is on the line than returning to Logan Meadows, where Daisy Smith awaits the wedding he's promised. Given new awakenings, bitter sorrow, and a daring escape, will Jake return a whole man? Or will the happiness he and Daisy have been building for the last two years be lost?

    Story
"Where Wind Meets Wave: A Prairie Hearts Novel"

I have had a soft spot for Jake since he was introduced in Where the Wind Blows (Prairie Hearts #1). In spite of the abuse and hardships that Jake endured in his childhood, he did everything he could to better his life. I really admired his bravery when he decided to join Chase and Jessie when they relocated to Logan Meadows, Wyoming. It turned out to be the best decision he made because the move gave him a fresh start. He was able to find love, family and a sense of community in Logan Meadows.

I have to admit that I was fearful for Jake's well-being when he set out on the journey to meet the father who refused to acknowledge him until he was on his deathbed. There were certainly some shocking twists but Jake demonstrated his strength of character and Christian values while he was away from home.

Although this is a novella, it is just as action packed as the other books in the series. Be sure to set aside time to listen to this audio-book in one sitting because you will be unable to put it down once you start.

"Wonderful story with surprises and adventure."

I loved this book and I loved this audible book with Cody Roberts and his smooth voice is awesome. Caroline Fyffe writes awesome stories with amazing characters that I absolutely love. They are complex and often have many problems like any of us. But adventure and surprises are always part of her stories with so much more. This one isn't really so much a romance as it is about finding family never knowing they even existed. Gabe is the character that goes to meet his father for the first time and finds sisters also. Trouble is there with a friend he sees in a prison camp and he knows this man isn't someone that would ever be in prison.
Cody Roberts has a very smooth voice and can keep his character voices as they should be. He is so easy to listen to telling this story or any story so I am so glad that Caroline and Cody have teamed up for her audible stories.
I encourage you to get this audible story and I know you will be snared by this story and how Cody narrates this story. I think you will love it as I do especially if you have read/and or heard the narrated stories of this series which is an awesome series.

    "A wonderful Prairie Novel"
Would you consider the audio edition of Where Wind Meets Wave to be better than the print version?

Yes audio edition is always better than the print version.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved that the hero does the right thing by his sisters.

What does Cody Roberts bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

If Cody Roberts did not narrate the book, only half the story would be told. He brings out the feelings of the charactors.

If you could rename Where Wind Meets Wave, what would you call it?

Where the Wind Meets the whip-poor-will.

"Another wonderful addition to the series!"
Where does Where Wind Meets Wave rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

In my top five. It is definitely one of my favorites and one I will listen to again.

What other book might you compare Where Wind Meets Wave to and why?

Where Wind Meets Wave is very similar to the writings of Debra Holland. It is a lovely step back into time when friendships and loyalty are strong and the character of a man means something.

What does Cody Roberts bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Hearing the narration is like watching a movie in my head. It just makes the story more alive and colorful having someone else read the story.

If you could take any character from Where Wind Meets Wave out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Definitely Jake. A man like Jake would surely have great stories to share.

    Any additional comments?

I did enjoy this addition to the Prairie Hearts Series so very much and as always wait eagerly for the next book. This author is without a doubt one of my favorites! She writes stories with such heart, and with strong plots!

    Story
"With the heart of a lion, Jake finds his family.."
If you could sum up Where Wind Meets Wave in three words, what would they be?

    Absolutely loved it!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jake, of course. The audible feels like you get to know his true character and his soul. He found the father he didn't know, he now had a real last name, he has sisters he didn't know about and with his marriage to Daisy, a new life. I could hear his happiness and character as a man while taking on new responsibilities.

What about Cody Roberts’s performance did you like?

Excellent narration! His voice adds real emotion and sincerity to the book itself. I loved hearing the voice of Jake and the sweetness of Daisy. His inflections gave more meaning to the storyline. I could listen to the book again (and probably will).

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

My reactions went from smiles, laughing and feeling good, to the depth of the grip in my chest when Jake rescued Dalton. Then I had to wipe my eyes when sweet Adaline took her spot in the pew at the wedding. She and Courtney will make perfect new citizens in Logan Meadows.

    Any additional comments?

The voice of Jake at the end of the book was perfect; "may your horse always be fast, your steak hot and juicy and your bed soft, and may all your dreams come true." Then the sweet voice of Daisy trying to get his attention. They are now newly weds. Got my Kleenex once again.
