Publisher's Summary

A Dragon Shifter Novel

Torrent took part in the much-anticipated hunt. Luckily, he managed to secure himself a female. Although the human was not his first choice, she'll do.

A fertile female is a fertile female after all. An heir is what he needs and an heir is what she'll give him. In return, she'll get to be queen of the water kingdom.

What more could a female wish for?

Candy is hunted like an animal and won by an arrogant shifter who doesn't even want her. She doesn't care that he's a king. So what if he's really good looking and that underneath all that bristling, alpha male is a sweet guy. Although sweet is probably not the right description for the savage, water king.

The only thing he's interested in is mating her, so that she can pop out lots of dragon shifter babies. Well, no thanks! She's not interested. As soon as she's able to get that through his thick skull, she's out of there. Torrent promised her she could leave if things didn't work out between them and she plans on holding him to his word.

This book can be listened to as a standalone but would be best enjoyed as a part of the series. (Start with Chosen by the Vampire Kings.) Please note: The story contains strong sexual and violent themes/language and is not intended for listeners under the age of 18.

"BUYER BEWARE THE WORSE STORYLINE I HAVE LISTEN TO "

BUYER BEWARE!! This might be one of the WORSE stories I have read all year.
The Water King Torrent captures Candy the Dragons Bride Hunt. Candy's profession is a Upscale Prostitute. Candy refuses to commit to mate with him and become his Queen. Mating involves having sex. Which they don't do until nearly 75% into the story. She won't commit to this Loyal, Handsome, Respectful, Rick, King who dotes on her. But prefers to go back to a life of prostitution/call girl. Which she does and is almost raped and killed. The end of the book Candy is pregnant Yes Pregnant and both her and the King thinks its a Royal Heir. But NO the baby girl is a Human which means she is a full term 9month baby born of two Human Parents. So her father is one of Candy's paying sexual Clients. But she has picked up some of Torrents the Water Kings DNA, so its alright that the baby isn't really his. The books ends with Candy screaming giving birth to her Afterbirth sack. What a mess of a story!!!! I don't like stories where the Heroine has passed off her child as the Hero's. It no way you will convince me that Candy was so ignorant she didn't know for 9 months that she was pregnant. This was on badly written story!!

    Story
    "A HUGE disappointment "

I’m so dissatisfied with this book. Firstly, the heroine was weak, pretentious and whiny and the hero was a pushover and not at all alpha. I am returning this for a refund immediately.

The story goes like this, the shapeshifting water king kidnapped (but not really kidnapped since she was supposedly in a bad situation) human call girl with “morals” who refused to sleep (mate) with him ( even though he was a sweet, caring and amazing guy) until about the very end of the book (at exactly 1:37hrs left in the 8:30 hrs book) then she gave birth to a human child that wasn’t his. Oh, and she didn’t know she was pregnant for 9 months, nor did the “totally in-tuned, I can smell your arousal, find your g-spot in seconds, read your body like a book” non-human male. THE END

My advice, save your money on this one...or don’t, either way you were warned.

In other news Sebastian York was AMAZING as usual, but Stella Bloom’s voice added to my irritation of the heroine (Candy) it was high-pitched, whiny and grated on my nerves.

I took a chance on this book since book 1 was somewhat enjoyable. Needless to say, I’m throwing in the towel on this series since each book will just get worse.

    "Favorite from Dragon Series"

It has been so much fun listening to the audio version of Water Dragon. Last year I read every book on Charlene's Bride Hunt series and I must say these books are pure fantasy and escape. Love them.

As far as Water Dragon, it is my personal favorite. Maybe because it was the first book out of the series that I read. I am so happy to say that the audio book does not disappoint. I loved how this little human woman can bring such a big and powerful Dragon to his knees and make him self reflect. Yes, there are some cheesy elements in the story such as an escort pretty much acting almost virginal and like a prude, but remember this is a fun fantasy book.

Additionally, there is some steamy alpha sex along with some tender moments. I also got an extra bonus because the male narrator is one of my personal favorites. Sebastian York is an amazing narrator. I was actually surprised that he was the narrator for this book because he typically does more contemporary romance. books. As usual, his voice was so perfect and sexy for the part. It was the first time that I have listened to Stella Bloom and she was amazing as Candy and does a wonderful job alternating her voice for different characters. She has that fun and ditzy type of voice, but she is not annoying. She was perfect for the part. If you like fantasy, shift changing paranormal novels, then this book will not disappoint. 5 stars for the narration and story.

    "I don't do this offten"
Where does Water Dragon rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Over all the book is great. The story is a one sided for most of the book. I feel the guy gets shafted for most of the book. Although he does do some things to deserve some of it Again it's a good book worth a read/listen.

I loved this book better than the first and the way it tied in some of the characters in the first. I didn't struggle at all to finish it and stayed up all night.

    "Overall Good Story"

Overall, I felt this was a pretty decent story. The narration was excellent! I love anything with Sebastian York. Stella Bloom was also very good. I found Candy to be quite annoying and I didn't care for the ending. Torrent came off very caring but not an alpha male as I would expect a king to be. When it is available, I will listen to the third book in the series.

This was a great listen. I loved the story of Candy and Torrent. As always, Sebastian York is stellar in his voicing of Torrent. That mans voice is pure perfection. Excellent second installment in the series. Loved it start to finish! Can't waiting for the rest of this series to be available on Audible.
