Summary

Animal. Monster. Beast. That's what they call Viktor Melikov, the man who hides in the dark...but even monsters need to be loved. The moment he sees the girl hired to dance for him, everything ceases to exist. It's a feeling he's unfamiliar with...and craves more than anything.

Alexis Kidd sells her body. Not because she wants to, but because she needs to. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do to support her family and survive.

Now she must dance for a man hiding behind a veil.

But when the urge to take a look grows too strong, Alexis gets more than she bargained for.

More than Viktor was willing to give.

No cliffhanger. Stand alone.

Inspired by a fairytale, Viktor is a standalone romance by New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Clarissa Wild.

CLARISSA, YOU'RE BEST WORK EVER!!

What can I say love! love! if you love your fairy tales, in this case 'Beauty & the Beast'
and you love them with dark themes and lots of suspense and just enough erotica without going over the top with it and for me personally, don't appreciate vulgar explicit fan fiction sexual books. I need to become involved and feel the characters and need narrators to bring these characters to life! The author has definitely done that with this book. Also the narrator John Tillman absolutely in love with his voice. For me this is a keeper! Hopefully she will bring some other fairy tales to life.... here's hoping (fingers crossed)

Scarred love

Any additional comments?

I loved this book about two scarred individuals, some of those scars are on the inside, some of the more noticeable ones are on the outside. Viktor and Alexis are drawn to each other, Viktor thinks he is unloveable because of his scarred face hidden by a mask he wears. Alexis see's beyond the mask and anger that he is not the monster he thinks . Viktor is full of anger at Alexis for things she doesn't know about, the anger turns to love. Will their love survive their pasts is the question. Full of dark angnst, hot love scenes . Love the narrator's voice, I would gladly listen to more stories read by him. Love this author looking forward to reading and listening to more books written by her.

I didn't know how she would work this.

Where does Viktor rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

4.5 I did't see how she could make this work as a love story but she did!

What other book might you compare Viktor to and why?

Beauty and the Beat of the city.

What does John Tillman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Every character had their own sound and accent. He did a wonderful job of bringing the story to life. He even gave Viktor a gruff tone in the beginning...until they got to know each other. It is a very interesting take on the original story, but don't expect the fairytale, everything is rosy version.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

Any additional comments?

This was my first experience with this author but not my last. I'm going to check her other audio books now 😀

hot, sexy, thrilling story with extra twist

What made the experience of listening to Viktor the most enjoyable?

I loved his character how he was angry but so loveable and honorable that it made you melt for the man

What did you like best about this story?

Of course all the sexually scenes where hot! But I loved how Viktor thought he was a monster but seriously he's far from one.

What does John Tillman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The Voice of Victor was absolutely perfect the roar the sighs even Winston accent perfect I was even shocked how well he did Alexis voice. Oh and the pimp dead on!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes I did laugh at both Viktor and Alexis stubbornness and almost cried near the end. Very emotional when all the truths came out

Any additional comments?

A awesome twist to Beauty and the Beast!

Really Comes Alive!

I read "Viktor" before, but I must say that listening to this was an absolute pleasure. Having it read to you... hearing their voices just seems to bring the characters to life.....
The "Company" is a bad bad organization. No one knows that better than Viktor. Ten years ago he did the unthinkable, paid a price and told himself he was done with it....... the "Company" doesn't agree!

So so good!

Any additional comments?

Loved this! I probably seemed a wee bit crazy to some of the other drivers on the road when I freaked out, talked to characters, and basically got into the book, but I enjoyed myself. Fantastic story and narrators!

A Dark Fairytale

Where does Viktor rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is one of the best narrations I've heard. Most times the voice does not match what I hear when I read but that was not the case here. John Tillman's voice can be as smooth and soothing as a lullaby and scary as a nightmare.

Any additional comments?

I love a dark tale and Clarissa Wild does not disappoint here. Viktor is a modern day version of Beauty and the Beast read by a versatile narrator. Since it is a tale, there were certainly a few things that seemed a little far fetched (Like an 18 y/o hooker's amazing skills with an assault weapon) but still, I enjoyed the story overall. Definitely worth a listen!

Dark and a little creepy

While I enjoyed this audiobook, it was a mix of dark romance with a totally unbelievable storyline. Nevertheless, it was entertaining! The characters are memorable and narration well done.

Twisted Fairytale

Any additional comments?

This twisted version of The Beauty and the Beast held my interest from the start. Unlike the original story, this story is not pretty. The narrator did a good job on all the characters' voices. I enjoyed listening to this story.

He could be your worst nightmare

This book sounds like a fairytale only for some it could be your worst nightmare.
I absolutely adored Viktor yeah he is rough, dark, maybe even demented but when he set his sights on Alexis aka his Lexi most of that roughness was broken. She brings out the best and worst.

Alexis is in for more than she bargained for after one dance brings her face to face with the man behind the mask. Her only thoughts are however saving her sister. But then her entire world starts to crumble and who is there beside her?
Well you listen and find out.

The narrator did a fantastic job of handling all the male characters and not to bad on the female ones.
He made this seem like it was happening right now which is awesome. Again I throughly enjoyed this audible.
