But Jeff has plans of his own, and soon devises a scheme to turn Fanny's four children against her. As the siblings vie for their rightful heritage, deceit, distrust, and thwarted dreams of power threaten to divide the Thorntons once and for all.
The title says it all. The plot suddenly got very airy fairy with voices from heaven and what not, help from beyond the grave, which seemed a bit daft and not in keeping with the previous books.
Sonny's health continues to deteriorate and the twins have to cope with Birch's new wife and their half-brother's scheming.
Frustrated, the book was cut off in mid-sentence...tried three times, pretty sad not to hear the ending!
