Summary

Having traveled through the Dance of the Gods to the land of Geall, the circle find themselves convincing, then training, the people of Geall to defeat Lilith's vampire army.

The Valley of Silence is a forbidding place for the battle of all battles, but the circle continues to prepare, through magic and a few early stakeouts that test their strength individually and as a team.

Moira finds herself playing the roles of warrior and royal as she follows the tradition of her people and prepares to take the crown before leading them into battle. And if that isn't enough, she finds her thoughts turning to Cian more often than not.

So what's a chaste and intelligent young woman to do when given less than a month with the man she loves, who's not a man, but a vampire? And how will the people of Geall fare against an army of blood-thirsty vampires who have had centuries to prepare?

Complete the circle: listen to all three books in Nora Roberts' Circle Trilogy, including Book 1, Morrigan's Cross, and Book 2, Dance of the Gods.

Critic reviews

"Completing her series with the real-world complications of selfless, star-crossed love, Roberts has crafted a fantasy-romance trilogy with strong appeal for romance fans of all stripes." ( Publishers Weekly)
"Dick Hill's narration gives further evidence why he is an AudioFile Golden Voice and Audie winner. Even if you're not a fan of this genre, Hill does such a convincing job as each character that one cannot help but be entertained by this action-packed tale of good versus evil." ( AudioFile)

Great narration, good story

Best of the trilogy. The ending is predictable, but the main characters were all likeable and well-rounded. Good mix of folklore and fantasy.
The narration really brought it to life.

Enjoyed overall - the performance was good with recognisable voices for each character but occasionally the voice was difficult to hear when the narrator spoke softly as part of the performance.

Valley of Silence

I have read these books several times so was really happy to get the audio book. This is my favourite due to the character hook up. The only thing I didn't like was one of the characters accents. A little grating and cheap sounding. It always sounds different in your head when you read it so shouldn't complain. I enjoyed the entire trilogy and wouldn't mind in they turned it into a trilogy movie. I would certainly watch it.

A truly epic ending

The day of reckoning is almost here. As Moira prepares to lead the troops to the battle ground in the valley of silence and assumes her mother's throne, she becomes ever more powerfully drawn to Cian, the circle's troubled vampire adviser. Cian knows that whether they win or lose this war, a life with Moira is impossible, bbut his feelings won't be denied. This is a powerful tale of love and sacrifice and the stunning conclusion to this brilliant trilogy.

Please speak to an irish person

1 it's pronounced sow-an not sam-hain
2 it's pronounced tie-nan not tin-nan

If you're going to do justice to Noras work then please ask an Irish person how to pronounce the words. Or use Google.

Really enjoyed these books!

Good books, even though the story was similar in nature to other books that She has written. However, good story and enjoyable.
