From New York Times best-selling author Susan Mallery comes the story of secret desires finally fulfilled….
After a family tragedy, former football hero Jack McGarry keeps the world at arm's length - a challenge now that his PR firm has moved to neighborly Fool's Gold, California.
Larissa Owens knows where she stands - Jack sees her as just another one of the guys. No matter what her heart wishes, Jack's her boss, not her boyfriend. But then Larissa's big secret is revealed… by her mother!
When Jack discovers the truth about Larissa's feelings, her touch suddenly becomes tantalizing, and he's not sure he wants to resist. But if he gives in to desire, heartache is sure to follow. Friendship or true love - will Jack go for the ultimate play?
I didn't know how Jack would wise up but I'm glad that he came to his senses. OH how the mighty have fallen! I'd definitely recommend this book to others.
This was another great audiobook! Loved this storyline was very believable. I have yet to read or listen to a book by Susan Mallery that I didn’t enjoy!
What made the experience of listening to Until We Touch the most enjoyable?
While I usually dont enjoy romances as a veteran I so identify with the fools gold series. I am enjoying the characters so much.
What other book might you compare Until We Touch to and why?
buuny and the bear shifter series, Eve langley.
What about Tanya Eby’s performance did you like?
dont replace her! excellent change of character development. I actually believe the characters are men, women, children and even animals!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
yes and am enjoying the interactions between characters.
I love Susan Mallorys stories, I don't know what happend, maybe a kid wrote this book but my goodness is was sooo boring and predictable. Larisa has been the most annoying character to date. She clings to a man who doesn't want her. The pinning, medling, and clinginess was so irratating I had to skip most of the story. The only part of the story that engaged me was Percy. Gosh such a waste of time. Totally missed the mark with this one Susan. Tanya is ok and tolerable but Jack with his self recrimination and Larisa with her annoying, I love him and it's ok if he doesn't love me attitude I was like alright already.ugh make it right with Kenny, and Bailey pleeeessse. Happy reading.
What does Tanya Eby bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Tanya Eby is one of the best narrators I have listened to. I always enjoy her.
Any additional comments?
Loved the book. Can't wait until the next one.
Would you try another book from Susan Mallery and/or Tanya Eby?
This book took a VERY long time to go anywhere. I generally very much enjoy the writing of Susan Mallery, even though the plot remains remarkably constant. Boy & girl meet, neither looking for a "forever", girl changes rules, boy freaks out - and breaks things off. Girl is heartbroken but tells her friends it's not his fault because she changed the rules. Boy suddenly realizes he loves girl, begs for forgiveness (cue music)...The end. But this one was tedious at times to keep listening to. I'm hoping for a little more from her next release.
What could Susan Mallery have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Probably added some minor character romances to bulk up the story.
Which scene was your favorite?
When Jack made things right with Percy.
What would have made this romance irresistible?
Possibly having Jack be the one to change the rules.
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
This book was good until the ending. The ending was very LAME!!!!!
What was most disappointing about Susan Mallery’s story?
The ending!!!!! Very LAME!!!
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
