Publisher's Summary

Trapped for the past 14 years in a time not his own, Ryder Lucore jumps at the chance to go back to the future to be reunited with the father and brother he left behind. However, when he arrives he discovers the future is not what it's cracked up to be. People and things have changed, and not in a good way. Now he is stuck here with no way to return back to the time he now misses.

Torin Hamilton's day wasn't going well - and gets worse when she receives a mysterious 19th century jewelry box. Its contents leave her completely baffled and concerned for her friend's welfare. What she saw couldn't be real.

Torin's concern for her friend deepens when she receives a strange phone call that has her rushing to Heartsbridge, Texas, looking for answers.

When she arrives, she meets up with Ryder, and together they go on a journey of loss, love and discovery, as secrets are revealed about a past he'd wanted to forget.

    Story
"Back to the future... interesting and emotional."

I haven't listened to or read the whole Timeless Hearts series but I did listen to Book 4. The characters and storyline overlap a bit and I think I enjoyed this book more because of my prior knowledge of the characters. Ryder time travelled to the late 1800s when he was a boy. As an adult he found his way back to the future, only more than 20 years after he left. So much has changed from what he remembered but his family from the 1800s reach out through time to make his transition easier. This assistance includes introducing him to Raven's (from Book 4) friend Torin. Sparks fly as Torin helps Ryder assimilate to the future. Their chemistry is undeniable but they both have big decisions to make. I enjoyed the emotional journey Sandra E Sinclair takes us on. This isn't just a story about romantic love. It is also about family and friendship. It is interesting to read Ryder's observations of our world and the interesting contrasts he points out with his past. This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

    Story
"Time Traveling Cowboy Meets Storm Chaser"

I absolutely loved the first audiobook in the Timeless Hearts series, Timeless Whisper. It had everything that I enjoy in a story – historical romance with elements of time travel. One of the reasons I enjoyed it so much were the interesting supporting characters, such as Lance’s best friend, Ryder. We know from Timeless Whisper that Lance befriended Ryder when he was a young homeless boy in 1866 Texas and Ryder grew up living with Lance’s family on the farm. At the end of the first book, 14 years had passed and Ryder returns home to present day.

Despite being labeled as "Book 5", Timeless Storm picks up immediately where Timeless Whisper left off. Ryder just stepped back into the future and is dumbstruck with all the changes that occurred in the 14 years he was gone. His love interest in the story is Torin (Raven’s best friend in the 1st book) who received a19th century jewelry box from Raven as proof of that she is safe. Included with the box was a request that Torin help Ryder adjust to the present day. Torin tries to help Ryder achieve closure on his past, but she is a storm chaser for broadcast TV news and she almost gets herself killed, which Ryder wants no part in.

With as much as I really loved the first book, I can't help but feel disappointed with this story. I really wish more time was devoted to character development. We know why Ryder left the area 14 years ago, but we don’t know how he was accidently transported back to 1866 specifically. We also don’t know how or why Ryder experiences weather differently from anyone else. He’s basically a human electrical circuit and no other information is provided on this anomaly.

Meghan Kelly narrated the Audible version of the story I listened to and she did an outstanding job. Meghan provides different voices for all characters and she has great intonation and pace. Her narration definitely contributed to my enjoyment of the book and the overall rating shows it.

    "Great Read"

Timeless Storm by Sandra E. Sinclair was a good book. Ryder has been trapped in the past for the last fourteen years. Ryder jumps at the chance to go back to the future to see his brother and father. This was a great book that I enjoyed reading.

    "Timeless Romance… Eventually. :-) "

⏳ I am not the fan of anything that isn't cast in the 'here and now.' So, it was with a bit of trepidation that I started listening to Timeless Storm. I actually really enjoyed it.

While it was unfortunate that a lot of the book was spent explaining the time travel and how/where Ryder has been & where his relations fall in. Once I understood all of that, it seemed like the story went by too quickly. So, my only complaint is that I wish it had been a lot longer.

Meghan Kelly's performance held my attention – even/especially during the parts explaining the time travel. Any author that can snag Kelly hits the jackpot, she could read the phone book and make it come alive.

This book has opened me up. insomuch that I will try it another time travel book, especially if performed by this talented narrator.

    "Timeless Storm"

I would have enjoyed this so much more if the voice of Ryder was strong and more upbeat. He sounded like an old worn out man who has no hope and nothing to look forward to. His speech was way too slow and sounded like he didn't care about a single thing he said. In my opinion, Meghan Kelly would be great for a young adult book. I'm sure I would have liked this more if I was reading it myself. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Timeless Storm: Timeless Hearts, Book 5
    : Sandra E Sinclair

This is book 5 in the series. I haven't read the first 4 so it took a bit to understand this book. Time travel and romance with twists and turns. I need to go back and read the other books to see where the whole story began. It caught my attention well enough to want more.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed by Meghan Kelly.

    "Timeless Storm"

Now we get to hear Ryder's story in this standalone book in the Timeless Hearts series. After living in the past for 14 years, Ryder is able to travel back to the future, but now that he's arrived, does he really want to be there? I loved hearing Ryder and Torin's story, and seeing how they were able to help each other accept what has happened. I would not hesitate to listen to anything Meghan Kelly narrates. She always does a fantastic job!

    "Timeless Storm"

Although this is the continuation of book 1 in the timeless hearts series, it is a standalone.

Ryder has been trapped in the past for 14 years and is finally getting the chance to go home, or as close to home as he can in the future. But things have changed a lot and Ryder has a lot to learn so he can readjust. Luckily things were set in place in the past to ease his return. This is a really fun story and series. Narration is very nice!

    Story
    "Too many people know"
If you could sum up Timeless Storm in three words, what would they be?

    Short and Sweet.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The most interesting part was learning some of the technology that had changed.
    Visiting the Masoleum.

    Which scene was your favorite?

I laughed so hard when the clothes he was given were too small and how he had such old fashion manners from coming from the past.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

    Another trip in time.
