Publisher's Summary

Only a select few in the human world knew of the existence of the V-Unit, a small group of highly trained Marines - who happened to be vampires. And it would have stayed that way. But when events in the vampire world, threatened the stability of the human world, the powers that be called for the unit's specialized services. An intrepid war correspondent, Bronson Rudan, who'd seen more than his fair share of fighting, stumbles across the unit by accident, and is drawn into their world. Bronson has no problem with that, given that he gets to spend time with a hunky Marine Lieutenant, Sarge. Although he won't remember any of this when they're through. At least, that was the plan....

Sexy vampire combined with sexy Marines with loyalty but no inhibitions. I loved it. I would love to read more about these characters.

    Story
    "It was entertaining"

I enjoyed it for the most part though I lose interest in m/m authors who reduce gay romance to cheap sex with multiple partners. And then there's the idea that gay men are spoiled brats that need to be treated like children instead of the grown, vital people they are. Still if you just need something to past the time, this was alright, though I probably would not have bought it if Greg Boudreaux/Trembly was not narrating. I adore him.

    Story
    "Military men and Vampires....Wonderful!"

Loved, loved, loved this story! This is my first book by Max Vos and I have to say that I am super impressed and I am looking forward to reading more of his works. The story of Bronson and Sarge (David) was heartwarming and loving. The story has mystery, intrigue, violence, passion, love, sadness, vampires, and hot sex!! The sex did not overpower the story, which is great from beginning to the end. I want to join the ranks of the V Unit ;-). Greg Boudreaux's narration was excellent and added so much to the story. Definitely would recommend!!!

    "Loved this story"
Would you consider the audio edition of The V Unit to be better than the print version?

I loved this Audio version. So well performed.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sarge - for being a bad ass, he's so lovable.

What about Greg Boudreaux’s performance did you like?

Greg Boudreaux is fantastic as always. I've never listened to one of his performances and walked away disappointed.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were a few moments that made me cringe and get teary eyed. Well worth it for the story.

    Any additional comments?

I've read and listened to tons of vampire books and I can say this was the first of its kind. Max Vos is a tremendous author and he really did well with this story!

    "cheap and ... cheap"
Would you try another book from Max Vos and/or Greg Boudreaux?

no and now after this, no (for greg boudreaux and greg tremblay) because why did he agree to read for this rubbish?

Has The V Unit turned you off from other books in this genre?

    No but definitely this author

Would you be willing to try another one of Greg Boudreaux’s performances?

    No

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    true disappointment

    Any additional comments?

If you like m/m fiction and want clever smut, try James Lear. If you want intelligent, possibly genius paranormal, try Jordan Castillo-Price and if you would like a great performer of this genre, try Gomez Pugh, but for the love of it all, bin this.
