Summary
You'll find a warm welcome in the latest audiobook from Ali McNamara, best-selling author of The Little Flower Shop by the Sea and From Notting Hill with Love, Actually.
One summer, property seeker Serendipity Parker finds herself on the beautiful west coast of Ireland, hunting for a home for a wealthy Irish client. But when she finds the perfect house in the small town of Ballykiltara, there's a problem: nobody seems to know who owns it. The Welcome House is a local legend. Its front door is always open for those in need of shelter, and there's always a plentiful supply of food in the cupboards for the hungry or poor.
While Ren desperately tries to find the owner to see if she can negotiate a sale, she begins to delve deeper into the history and legends that surround the old house and the town. But for a woman who has always been focussed on her work, she's remarkably distracted by Finn, the attractive manager of the local hotel. But will she ever discover the real truth behind the mysterious Welcome House? Or will the house cast its magical spell over Ren and help her to find true happiness?

Terrible
I love Ali Mc Namara’s books but this is so badly read. The worst reader EVER! Her voice is annoying from the beginning and I can’t listen to any more! Plus the story line is weak and the vocab is lacking in variety. Every other sentence is ‘he says’ or ‘she says’. I recommend any of Ali’s other books but avoid this and any book read by the reader of this book. Whoever wrote the last review is not telling the truth. Sorry to be so slating but it needs saying.

A bit silly I'd like my money back
Really silly story. wasted my money. Apart from Fins voice the other male characters voices were high pitched and portrayed irish men to be a bit dumb.

A non Sequel Sequel
If you've read breakfast at Darcy's this book is a lovely follow on from the tale. McNamara writes with such such ease and poise I have really enjoyed reuniting with old character I hope their is a third book in the adventures of Tara!

Lovely little book
After selecting 3 mind numbing and depressing books in a row I was close to giving up on Audible until this breath of fresh air came along. Pleasant with a bit of a twist. Found the end a little too sugary but on the whole a good wee book.
SPOILER!!!
If anyone gets upset over sad dog stories... when the main character starts talking about her dog do your self a favour and forward 5 minutes.
