Summary
Once Amber Wynters would have said she’d only ever marry for love, but then her scheming, no good, two-timing ex-fiancé, Rod, breaks her heart and bankrupts her parents.
There is no way she’s going to stand by and watch her parents have to sell their family home, a beautiful Tudor house that has been in the family for generations.
So, armed with a self-help book and a 10 point plan, she sets off to hook herself a rich husband and pay her parents' debts. Nice book
Pleasantly surprised by this book given that it was a freebie. Lovely characters brought to life quite well by the narrator.

The monotone narrator
The plot was gentle and easy to listen to. Unfortunately the narrator sounded like AI. No tone or expression which was disappointing.

What a lovely novel.
It might have been a freebie but it has given me a new author to follow. Lovely non soppy books. Would love this one to have a second book. To follow their adventures. How many children where did they buy a house what did they do to help others ? So much scope

Narrator was great although some strange noises occasionally x story was light no real depth, super predictable but still a lovely listen & lots of fun x

Enjoyable story, awful narrator
Enjoyed the story but struggled with the narrator, persevered to the end but there were plenty of times I wanted to give up because I found the voices so irritating.

Bizzare! Only 2 Stars
I dont know what to think about this book, it was a strange listen. I mean in reality if your parents needed some money, you wouldnt think 🤔 " Oh I know I will marry a millionaire and that will solve their money worries" honestly the plot wasnt that believable!
Dont get me wrong, you can meet someone and fall in love and that person is the one but i found this book childish, like a teenager was talking about her dreams when she grew up.
The narrator also made it sound like it 2 teenage girls dreaming about their future.
I am relieved this listen is free with plus catalogue as this book is not for me. Sadly I dont reccomend this listen.

not for feminists
If you believe that women aren't simpering idiots who need to marry a man to solve their parents money problems then this book isn't for you.
The fantasy of being swept off your feet by a handsome stranger isn't new to books and there's nothing really wrong with that.
But the way she fawns and simpers is so annoying, she's supposed to be an intelligent woman.
