Summary

It's Fran's 30th birthday and things are good. Her outlandishly handsome boyfriend Michael is escorting her to the Ritz, but something has gone very wrong. By the end of the evening Fran is howling in bed with one of Michael's old socks. In her quest to figure out why her life has suddenly gone down the pan, Fran comes up with a failsafe plan. And so begins the greatest love story of all time...The Greatest Love Story of All Time is Lucy Robinson's first novel. Her writing career began when she started a dating blog for Marie Claire where she entertained readers with tales from her laughably unsuccessful foray into internet dating.

Loved it!

I thought it was a non starter. A corny title and dubious story line. Not to mention constant use of the F word and others... but I gradually got involved with the characters to the extent that I laughed out loud, shed a tear, and now feel bereft that the book has finished! I think it is a cracking story of friendship and madness, with a dose of reality. I could relate to this crazy story and loved it!

Funny and heartwarming

I really enjoyed this book. Antonia Beamish is brilliant as always. Only criticism was that I would have liked Fran to be a bit stronger as a character.

Needs an Injection of Humour!!

What did you like best about The Greatest Love Story of All Time? What did you like least?

The only chick lit type book I've ever come across that has very little humour in it. I wouldn't buy it again for this reason. The heroine Is quite frustrating. On the plus side it's not completely obvious who she'll end up with, but definitely not the greatest love story of all time!

Would you recommend The Greatest Love Story of All Time to your friends? Why or why not?

No, please see above

Ace! Laugh out loud.

Kept you guessing. Witty roller coaster of a listen. Loved it. Even sat in the car park (when I should really have been on my way) wanting to hear a little bit more.....thought that was very telling, really held me.
