"Goog performance, okay story, not great writing"

I am enjoying this series enough to continue but after reading a lot of good authors recently getting through the uninspired writing quality is a bit of a struggle. The story is good, not brilliant, but the progression and development leave a lot to be desired. All in all gives me the impression a ghost writer is churning these out as fast as possible without taking the time to hone the passages beyond the basic proof read.

    "Boring. A filler book"

This book was a disappointment as it was boring boring boring. A lot of musing by the characters that if I'd been reading I would have skimmed though. I hope the next is better

"I just want to get to the end already"

I really enjoyed the first three books in this series, which prompted me to buy the fourth book which was okay, and at this point I felt invested. Along comes book five and I am thinking that I am getting to the end of the story.........no. This book could have been omitted and not taken much from the greater story. My question now is how badly do I want to get to the end of this story? Part of me says just move on to something else, especially knowing that there are still two more books to go.

    "not much happened"

Other than a few surprises, it felt really short. Just to keep people interested enough to make money... Not cool. The biggest part ended in a cliff hanger.

"Good story, but it is repetitive and somewhat annoying"

I want to give 5 stars, because this is a good story, but after the first couple books the storyline gets very repetitive... and the most annoying part is that the phrase "met my gaze" or some variation of it is used every other sentence it felt like. I don't know anyone that has ever said that in real life, so I would much rather if they just said "looked at me" or something else that normal people actually say, with "gaze" only sprinkled in for emphasis.

    "The Gender Fall"

I can't believe how this series is getting better with every new book. The writing is superbe: it's intriguing, capturing and full of surprises. The MCs and their counterparts are well developed and getting deeper with every new book of the series. This one is GREAT. I want also to underline how Great and Amazing are the two narrators: Rebecca Soler and Jason Clarke have that kind of talent that adds the perfection to this book and the entire series....OBVIOUSLY I can't wait to get the next audio book with the companion Kindle version in the series.
