Summary
One day she had everything - the next it was gone.
William and Amy love their busy city life, but when Will collapses on his way into work he decides enough is enough and moves his family to the country.
Three months later, Amy is standing outside Helmshill Grange, a sullen monstrosity of a house, deep in the Yorkshire moors. Within days, Will has traded in the Audi for a Land Rover and brought home chickens, goats, sheep, a serial-killer cat and a mad dog.
But when tragedy strikes, Amy finds herself living a dream that isn't hers....

FANTASTIC!!
I’ve read most of Carole Matthews books and loved them, I was dubious when I downloaded this older book in case it was not so good? I have loved every minute of it! A great story! Narrative is fantastic! Read it you won’t be disappointed

You must listen to this!!!
Kept me wanting to get to the end of the book. Just had to find out what was going to happen.
I’ve laughed out loud, panicked for the family and sat with tears in my eyes.
Amazing!!!

Excellent!
The story is excellent… it’s sad, funny, laugh out loud and also makes you want to shout at the characters! I wasn’t sure at the beginning but it is a wonderful heart warming story!!

How a person can change no matter how they feel their current lifestyle is right for them.
I liked how the main character's rollercoaster life had a happy ending when all hope was gone. She overcame every hurdle in the end. The other characters in this story were so believable, you would probably meet them if you visited a Yorkshire town or worked at a television company. And Hamish, he had more lives than a cat. I feel his offspring 'Trouble' could pop up in another book and have a few more adventures than his Dad. I really enjoyed this book.

Wrong narrator
Lovely story, my first time reading Carole Matthews and I’m definitely loving her style. Only problem was the narrator. Her voice didn’t go with the younger main character. Rather spoilt the whole thing for me.
