Good listening

This is the final story in a three part mini series and I found it the best of them all. It tied together all the pieces in the other two, In pursuit of Eliza Cynster and Viscount Breckenridge to the Rescue. It is well read by Matthew Brenher and is one of those books I will listen to again. It is a story in its own right, but the other two books will be more enjoyable if read in order.

Loved it

Loved every second of it.
Another one of my favourites. Pity Domenic didn't have A Scottish accent in this book. I was looking forward to it. The story was so good.
I'm getting used to the narrator now, he's much better especially with all his different accents. But I didn't like most of the voices of the Cynster men. Especially Devils, he was supposed to have the deepest voice of them all and he had a really effeminate voice. I also didn't like Honoria's voice, Devil's wife, she sounded like an old lady. And she's only supposed to be about 36 years old.
But it was really nice to have the whole family in this story. Loved it.
Now on to the next one.

The best in the trilogy

What did you like most about The Capture of the Earl of Glencrae?

It was well paced and rounded up the trilogy well.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Both the hero and heroine were sympathetic characters and believable enough.

Have you listened to any of Matthew Brenher’s other performances? How does this one compare?

Matthew Brenher's performance was, as always, brilliant.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Although the plot may seem a bit convoluted it seemed perfectly acceptable for the genre.

Long winded drivel

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A lot more story and a lot less sex. Plus shorter generally.

What will your next listen be?

Terry Pratchett's latest.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

I think the narrator did well considering, although some of his phrasing was a bit strange.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment.
