No one can navigate the reader through heart rending , agonising life traumas like Marian Keyes. Her characters are loveable and real. I want to stay with them all through the rest of their lives

Marian Keyes tells an unusual tale about relationships, and family life in her own quirky style. Heart warming, touching & funny. I loved it x

    "Dreary..."

I am normally a big fan of Marian Keyes but this was a great disappointment... dreary, predictable & without charm. I couldn't warm to any of the characters and literally had to force myself to stick with it until the end... it wasn't worth it

    "A bit bland!"

I may be doing this book a disservice because I have only made it to chapter 51 (out of 124), but I cannot sustain any interest in it. I keep trying Keyes' books in the hopes of finding another gem like Rachel's Holiday, Mammy Walsh's A to Z of the Walsh Family or The Mystery of Mercy Close. Unfortunately, I fear that they are the only really good book she had to give us.

The Break started well, but then began meandering in a boring formulaic way. For me, the rest of it, and the ending are easy to predict. What if I'm wrong? Well I am not sufficiently engaged with either the characters or the story to care.

Found this really really boring . Kept fast forwarding 5 chapters but nothing had changed . Had nothing of interest to say - just so so dull.

A bit lightweight and fluffy compared with her other books but a nice enough listen.

    "Amazing"

I adore Marian Keyes, but I'd go so far as to say this is one of her best yet. Hugely relatable characters & a storyline that unearths all kinds of unexpected emotions. Loved every second.

    "Incredibly Disappointing"

I have adored all of Marian Keys Other books and would rate all of them as a 5. Sadly though, it pains me to say that this one was really rubbish. The main Character Amy is so self obsessed and miserable. The story is also boring. It contains no humour . It was bland and dull. The only reason I got through this book was because I was on a long train journey.
If you haven't listened to Marian ' s other books, I would say defiantly listen to them instead.
