Summary

Everyone in Bell Harbor thinks career-minded plastic surgeon Evelyn Rhoades needs a husband. Everyone, that is, except for Evelyn…sort of. Even if she did want a husband (which she doesn’t…most of the time), she’d never let something as intangible as fate determine who she marries. No, if she’s going to find someone to spend her life with, she’ll do it scientifically: With a carefully crafted list of criteria and an Internet dating site.

But when intoxicated, law-breaking Tyler Connelly crashes into her life by way of a stolen Jet Ski, unruly emotions defy common sense. Sure, he’s sexy, charming, and determined to win Evelyn’s affection, but all evidence points to him being the worst possible choice. He’s too young for her. Too irresponsible. Too underemployed. And, oh yeah, he’s her patient.

But Tyler knows firsthand how the best-laid plans can crumble under the weight of destiny. Now all he needs to do is to teach Evelyn that, in matters of the heart, love often supersedes logic.

A Charming Read

This was a nicely written story. A cosy read, something you just want to relax down to with a steaming cup of coffee. I enjoyed it.
My only criticism is I found the Narrator to be a little too hard/aggressive. I just feel it could have been delivered with a 'softer' tone.

Nice beach love story

This was a very typical love story that happens quite often. Women often have a requirements list if qualities they want their husband to be packaged with. However that is not always true love so it was refreshing to witness these characters be ok with true love instead of the status quo

Perfect Beach Book

I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook while at the beach and pool. It helps if you’ve already heard the first book in the series.

Entertaining

This book was entertaining. The characters were a little different but enjoyable. Everyone seemed to learn something that we all should know but forget sometime. A fun book actually.

Narration is horrible

All the women are whining teenagers!! OMG find someone else to narrate. I cannot get past 2 chapters of any of this author’s book because of how horrible and annoying it sounds. I can’t even get my credit backs!

Voice lessons

Reader has a harsh voice with little range. Dramatic interpretation good. Sarcasm overdone in most cases.

If you like a really light romantic read go for it

The narrator's rapid fire performance is very annoying and spoiled the story which was cute and well written but predictable.

2nd book by T Brogan

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would with a note to say somewhat stuffed with fluff. Or something. I absolutely loved My Kind of You. It kept you guessing, mysterious things, unsure who the P would end up with, so many choices. This book was ok but I FF through the toys party, and a few other parts. Finally went to the last two chapters to find out who she ended up with, even though I knew. I like her and her friends and who wouldn't love Tyler it there just wasn't enough story there. MY KInd was so funny, and well you don't get a perfect book very often.
I will look for this author again though I believe she is developing into someone to search for in Audible, please get your narrators right. I liked this one.

What does Amy McFadden bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Amy McFadden is a great narrator.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
