Cowboys have assumed a mythic status in American culture. They fill our films and our folksongs; our imaginations are consumed by the brave and rugged men and women of the West stampeding across the frontier. Stephen Brennan's collection of stories about cowboys is a must-listen for any fan of this iconic part of US mythology. Jim Zeiger's performance is perfect: In his gravelly voice and animated speech you can hear the echo of hooves and the report of six-shooters.
A collection of stories capturing what it means to be a cowboy.
Reads like a boring disjointed cowboy diary. I would have at least liked some kind of story with a beginning and an end.
