Megan Lambert can deal with her high-pressure job as sales manager for an Atlanta radio station. She just can’t handle antagonism toward Josh Bennett, a major advertiser. Now Josh wants a meeting with her, and Megan doesn’t know why. Josh is many things – powerful, handsome, and arrogant – but predictable isn’t one of them. Suddenly, he makes a demand that puts her career on the line and sets the emotional stakes so high they send her reeling. Megan is about to enter a world of limos and luxury, deception and false hope – and games that can break a woman’s heart when the wild card is love….
This was an indicator that I should always listen to a sample before buying a book. I found the reading very sweet - what my son once called 'talking in pink'.
Worse - the story was weak and the writing overblown - the hero's eyes were 'faceted gold' - and I kept having images of insect eyes.
I LIKE an occasional bodice ripper - but this was one I could not even force myself to listen to for more than half the book. I have read books by Sandra Brown before and had not had the same level of irritation with them. I think it was the combination of writing and reading that was so unfortunate.
It was a valuable but expensive lesson.

If this was my first Sandra Brown book I ever read, it would have been my last Sandra Brown book I ever read. Have read many and enjoyed them. This one was 100% boring. No plot.

a very sweet story which I enjoyed. fourteen years he waited for his love but finally he got his love.
Very intriguing. I could literally feel the intensity between the main characters! Can't wait for the next book!
This book has a tissue thin plot line. The main female character has all the emotional range of a three year old. If your idea of romance is shallow manipularive behaviour, this is the book for you. Don't waste your time and money.

I love a good hot steamy romance story and this one does not disappoint! Sandra Brown is a great story teller.
