Publisher's Summary

In New York Times bestselling author Emma Chase's sizzling and hilarious debut novel, Drew Evans - gorgeous, arrogant, irreverent, and irresistibly charming - meets his match in new colleague Kate Brooks.

Drew Evans is handsome and arrogant, he makes multimillion dollar business deals and seduces New York's most beautiful women with just a smile. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed? He'll tell you he has the flu. But we all know that's not really true.

Katherine Brooks is brilliant, beautiful and ambitious. When Kate is hired as the new associate at Drew's father's investment banking firm, every aspect of the dashing playboy's life is thrown into a tailspin. The professional competition she brings is unnerving, his attraction to her is distracting, his failure to entice her into his bed is exasperating.

Tangled is not your mother's romance audiobook. It is an outrageous, passionate, witty narrative about a man who knows a lot about women…just not as much as he thinks. As he tells his story, Drew learns the one thing he never wanted in life, is the only thing he can’t live without.

"Awesome, my first Emma Chase Book"

This book was awesome. I love this book because it so different from a mans point of view. You may not agree with Drew's point of view on any subject but you will laugh.

Drew is a investment banker in New York. It's a family business for Drew, his family and friends. He loves is job and his playboy lifestyle. That was until he meets Kate in REM. He wants Kate but she will not play his game.

Kate comes from Ohio and has studied hard to be a investment banker. She will not let Drew ruin her plans for her and her family. Kate has dated Billy since she was 15 years old. She is happy, so she thinks?

Will Drew get his way? Will either find true love or just happiness?

I would recommend this book and I can't wait for Twisted and Tamed!!

Yes, the narrators really make the audio books! I fell in love with all the characters and laughed out loud at the way it was voiced.

    Any additional comments?

The whole series of Tangled are amazing books! they are well written and extremely funny, you can really put yourself in the shoes of all characters and I laughed out load as well as rolled my eyes a lot. I haven't read them, only listened to them but well worth it!!

    "Brilliant!"
What made the experience of listening to Tangled the most enjoyable?

This is such an entertaining series! so funny, Drew is not only frustrating but endearing at the same time. I laughed at him and wanted to shake him at the same time. I will admit to listening to this and the rest of the series more than once.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Tangled?

Drew on a mission to win Kate back and the lengths he went to, was so funny.

What does Sebastian York bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Sebastian York is brilliant, every one of his narrations bring the characters to life, he is able to make any story enjoyable. I had read the story but listening to Sebastian brings Drew Evans to life and draws the humour of the stories out.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Drew is cruel to Kate when he leapt to conclusions, making the wrong assumptions. I was unable to stop listening!

This is just so bad... How can this book have an overall of 4/5stars? The best thing is the narrator's voice - beautiful. But no story, cringing, loads of nonsense. Not even finishing it.

    "I was bored"

I had high hopes for this book. It was a disappointment. I was really bored but I pushed myself to listen to it until the end hoping the plot would have changed. It was so flat for me it took me one whole week to finish listening to it.

I didn't get I at all the part where the main character was addressing The reader and frankly it was done quite a few times throughout the whole book. Why would the character in a book stop everything and ask the reader questions and frankly what? you're expecting an answer?? Was trying to get into the storyline and all the time there were these questions..... I didn't get it!!!

The characters did not have any depth whatsoever. I found The storyline really poor.

I hated the last part at the end of the book regarding the advise towards the reader?? This was supposed to be a story, a novel, not a self-help book.

    "Think Wallbanger meets Beautiful Bastard...."

Amazing. A must-listen. This was fan freaking fantastic!! So refreshing, very entertaining and so much fun! This was the perfect blend of wit, humor, sarcasm, romance and all things sexy sexy sexy. Drew Evans is used to getting everything he wanted and enjoying life of a single good-looking bachelor. The story is told through his POV. I was actually fond of Drew's inner thoughts and even thought some of it was pretty hilarious too. Drew is a womanizer who is happy with his life. He doesn't want to have a relationship ever. Yep, he is a man-whore. Plus, he can be crude, crass, and vulgar. Regardless of all those delightful traits, you still can't help but fall for him in the end. Drew is an extra confident person so when out one night & he meets a woman he wants and cannot get, he is just not willing to accept it. What is even more unexpected for him is finding her the next day in his office being introduced as his new colleague. Actually, she is his competition. Kate was also awesome character. If you like strong heroines, you will LOVE Kate. She is smart, confident, sassy and absolutely determined not to become another notch on Drew’s bed post. She has plans, dreams, goals and no time for a playboy. She was able to keep up with Drew all the time, matched his determination, even outsmarted him at times. Their banter was just priceless! Tangled was essentially an enemies-to-lovers story about guy falling in love for the first time with a girl who goes toe-to-toe with him on everything. I loved watching them work through their issues. And when Drew finally decides to fight for Kate’s heart, the lengths to which he goes are just awesome! I must say this was one of the most enjoyable books for me this year. And that is saying something because I've finished a LOT! I really hope this author will write more books in future.

I wasn't expecting the book to have me laughing so much. It was hilarious! I still have a goofy smile on my face.

"And Now For Something Completely Different"

Since I usually give romance novels close to failing grades (except for Sandra Brown's Rainwater and Linda Winstead Jones' Raintree: Haunted) why would I give this one a 5 Star rating? The same rating as I would give The Beautiful Ruins, the Book Thief, the Book of Unholy Mischief? Well, that would be comparing apples and oranges so it isn't a fair comparison.

However, as a Romance novel, this one stands out far above all others!

The key difference is that the protagonist is male and he narrates the story to the reader/listener as if in casual conversation. And the dialogue is definitely male--locker room style, blunt, crude and perfect for the story. It is so on the mark, I have trouble realizing that it is written by a woman.

All the characters are colorful, entertaining and totally different than those found in ordinary romance stories.
Great find. I just can't figure out how the author will follow up on this one, much less top it but I'm ready to find out!

"I would LOVE to get Tangled up with Drew - So HOT!"
    Any additional comments?

I was hooked from the first line and smiling wide by the end of the first page. If you are a fan of enemies-to-lovers stories, you will LOVE Tangled! I swear half my book is highlighted. I laughed out loud, grinned till my cheeks ached and just generally loved it :)

The story is about Drew. In real life, Drew is a clean-shaven, well-groomed, expensive suit wearing professional. But, at the start of the story, he’s a miserable un-showered, un-shaven yeap locked in a messy apartment overflowing with old pizza boxes while claiming to have the flu. - Right.......What he really has is a bad case of the Break Up........ See Real Life Drew was once a player. Why settle for one when there were so many willing ones tripping over themselves to be with him.

But he’s fallen in love. Finally. Problem is, she’s getting married… to someone else. Hence the miserable, moping, un-shaved heap. This is his story....... It starts off going back in time to when they first met. Drew meets Kate at a club one night and, despite the flirting, she walks away. When Kate gets hired by his office, it puts him in a frustrating situation because office romances are on his no-no list.

We are told the story by Drew. He can be a bit of an asshat but you really just can’t help falling for him – he’s that lovable. He both narrates the events and breaks the 4th wall by talking directly to us as the reader. It’s totally awesome! This is such a Smart and fun listen that i find my mind keeps wondering back to it. It's one of those books you just can't forget... I can't wait for the next in this Sexy series. :)

"MEN ARE A LOT LIKE FROGS"

WE'RE ALL SINNERS, MY BOY, SOME OF US JUST ENJOY IT MORE THEN OTHERS.
I am for good writing. I have mentioned several times that a good writer can make you enjoy a story in any genre. For a couple of years I have dipped into the Romance, Chick Lit, what ever category to prove my theory. Until now I was not successful, but I am happy to report that Emma Chase is one excellent writer. I really enjoyed this book and I will continue in the series. THE FEMALE MIND IS A SCARY PLACE TO BE.

GOOD GUYS ARE BORING, NICE GUYS HAVE SOMETHING TO HIDE.
At first I thought this was going to be another cliché just FINE, stupid guy book and I thought I would have to bow out early. Even the story line, girl falls in love with boss and vice versa, is so over done, it is silly. Then about chapter 7, it picked up big time and just kept getting better. The whole book is done in first person and it is from the perspective of the male. That probably helped me the most. Emma nailed the male character, so well, it was hard to believe that she is a female. Yes, all men think about sex every five seconds and yes they think in terms of f@@k, su@@, bending you over, size of rack, etc. At first I did not like the main character, I thought he was too sure of himself, that he was too much a jerk. By the end of the book, I really liked him and through the book I watched him grow into a real man.

IT'S NOT JUST THAT SHE WAS PERFECT, IT'S THAT SHE WAS PERFECT FOR ME.
As a man who has been happily married for over 36 years, I have often gotten upset over authors constant confusion over sex versus love. I have even had young men say to me, that they could not marry a girl who was not good in bed, so dates are basically bed try outs. First, as our main character finds out, sex is always better with someone you love, or even care about as opposed to a one night stand. Second, that if two people love each other they will do all they can to make there partner happy. That is kind of the definition of love.

THIS IS NOT ABOUT ME AND MY RAGING HARD ON.
There is a lot of humor in this book, lots of LOL moments. There is some soul searching. There is not a lot of crying, although there is one scene that will tear your heart out. The main character shows a lot of maturity toward the end and a lot of will power and humility. I thought it was wonderful watching this happen. Oh, Chase is a woman. It was given away when she mentioned the I FORGOT TO BREATHE line. This is in all romance novels written by women. Men never say that. I also thought the NILF comment might have gone a little too far, but I am not catholic. The little girl and the swear jar was a hoot.

WHEN YOU GOT NOTHING, YOU GOT NOTHING TO LOSE
I almost backed out of buying this book, due to the six pack on the cover. When you put a cover like that on a book, you limit your audience. I am glad a took the chance. It was the publisher's summary that did it. I like a strong, intelligent female character, who dishes it out as well as she takes it. This is similar to The Beautiful Bastard, only I liked this a lot better. I like the banter between the sexes. This has got it in spades.

The narrator is fantastic. She really brought the printed word to life.

This has to be one of the best Romantic Comedies I have ever listened to. It is told completely from Drew's point of view... It was like you were just hanging out with him on the couch as he tells you his story. I laughed so hard ... one of those not so cute laughs with snorts and tears kind of funny. And Sebastian York was FABULOUS... totally believable. I just loved it! I just wish I had 5 more stars to add and give this book a perfect 10!

"Womanizer Vs. Kate. Such a cute story!!!"

STORY (romance) - This story is told by Drew, the ultimate womanizer who can't bother getting "tangled" with any woman for more than one night. He is gorgeous, rich and sexy. He tells this story like he's talking to his buds over a pitcher of beer, complete with every expletive you can imagine. He'll talk about some woman or about Kate a bit, then change to something from his past, then back to the story again. It's a fun, male point of view. And, girls, you might learn a few things about men, and you probably won't like them!

Drew doesn't want to fall in love...until he meets Kate. Lots of romances start out with the main characters disliking each other, but this one has a different twist. It's hot, clever, and I absolutely love, love, love the way Drew changes and the way the book ends! Sigh...

PERFORMANCE - Ooooooh, what a dreamy voice! Low, sexy...perfect.

OVERALL - As mentioned above, Drew cusses a lot. There are lots of F bombs and quite a bit of cuss words with religious references. Women are only important as sexual entertainment for Drew until he meets Kate, so you must be okay with that treatment as well. There is also quite a bit of explicit sex in the book. Highly recommended for mature women who are not easily offended by the above.

I loved this one. I found it hard to put down. I have read a bunch of 'OK' books lately and this one really made me recall that feeling of getting sucked into a truly good book and not wanting to put it down, even if you have work in 5 hours. The book is written from the male prospective and I really liked that on this story, and it was nice that it was not the male perspective of a story we had already seen from the female viewpoint. The main character, Drew, is a player and the book is a dialogue between him and the reader. It was very well written and laugh out loud funny. I look forward to more books from this author. If you like romance books, I recommend this one, it can be a bit crass and there is a lot of sex, so you might want to think twice if you don't like that. It reminded me of Beautiful Bastard - with a little less sex.
