    "Excellent Book"

A book involving such fine detail of village life could only have been written by a person with first hand knowledge of Village life, I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book,at times I found it difficult to put the book down.

    "Memories!"

My church school was much like this and, like George Lamb, I'm very grateful for the excellent education, albeit in Spartan surroundings!

    "An Exceptionally Good Narrator"

I enjoyed listening to this book. There are times when you need a gentler book and this suited the situation perfectly. Likeable and engaging characters, a plot with enough to interest and entertain without being demanding, read by an exceptionally good narrator. I have enjoyed many books from this author and it's always a pleasure to revisit one of the books and renew my acquaintance with the the well loved characters of Fairacre and Thrush Green.
