Summary
Can you fall for someone you've never even met?
Hailey Taylor Emery has a hunch that her favorite client at Fetch - an anonymous virtual assistant service - is actually hockey star Matt Eriksson. Although it's against the rules for her to check his file, she's 95 percent sure she spends at least part of each day texting with her lifelong crush and catering to his every need. Still nursing a wounded heart thanks to her recent breakup, Hailey is perfectly content with some harmless online flirting...until she has to meet her client. Face to face. Cue: utter panic.
Matt Eriksson is no stranger to heartbreak. He's still not over the destruction of his marriage, and it sucks to be the only guy on the team who knows the truth - that hockey and long-term relationships are a toxic mix. He barely sees his kids, and dealing with his ex makes him feel insane. The only person in his life who seems to understand is someone who won't show her pretty face.

Easy great reads...
Great easy read. Just makes your heart melt. There doesn't always have to be endless heartbreaking drama before a book can be called great.
This just leaves you with s nice warm feeling all the way through. I love Matt!! .. such a great lead character

Loved this book!
It’s amazing to hear such a refreshing book when it’s the male that has been affected by previous relationships. Love the writing duo of Sabrina Bowen and Elle Kennedy
And don’t get me started on Jacob Morgan and Lucy rivers… hot hot hot!

Adore
Read the book a couple of years ago and fell in love with the characters
Jacob Morgan gave an amazing performance of Matt with both humour and 🔥
So very going to be repeated many times over! Highly recommended; can be read without prior knowledge of the others in the series

I should have read this years ago.
I enjoyed this. Mostly because it's a sports(ish) romance written by two of the icons of the genre. Not gonna lie, most if not all of the issues in this book, Hailey's divorce and her potential buyout from her rich person outsourcing job, Matt's divorce and his overbearing ex wife, and the baggage both drama creates in the burgeoning relationship between Matt and Hailey could have been resolved by TALKING. That said, I did find this to be a quick read but I feel like I would have given it a much higher rating if I had read it closer to reading book 1 in this series and not waiting literal years later. Matt is a pretty awesome hero though, all things considered. And Hailey is a baddie.

Yes, really enjoyed it. Would recommend.

Definitely Matt, he's swoon worthy
What about Jacob Morgan and Lucy Rivers ’s performance did you like?
Jacob was AMAZING as always. I love everything that he narrates! Lucy was good when narrating as Hailey, but her mens voices are really not great. She makes the men sound slow and a little dumb.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes, it made my heart wrench a little here and there, but generally, its just a nice easy story with a HEA. Sometimes it's nice not to have your heart repeatedly torn in two by a story. This one was just a really pleasant read where you could feel the love.
