Publisher's Summary

From author Thea Harrison comes the latest story in the New York Times best-selling Moonshadow trilogy....

Kidnapped while on tour, musician Sidonie Martel is transported to the mystical land of Avalon. A human without magical ability, she is completely vulnerable to the deadly forces surrounding her.

When she defies her captors and refuses to share her music, an act of violent cruelty leaves her broken, her ability to play silenced, maybe forever. Her only hope is a whisper in the dark, gentle hands that offer healing, and a man who refuses to show her his face yet who offers advice she dare not ignore.

One of the most feared and powerful sorcerers in history, Morgan le Fae serves a queen he despises, Isabeau of the Light Court. Once a famous bard and an advisor to kings, Morgan has been enslaved to Isabeau for hundreds of years, acting as enforcer and the commander of her deadly Hounds.

Sidonie's music touches Morgan in places he had abandoned centuries ago, and her fiery spirit resurrects feelings he had believed long dead. For Sidonie, trapped in captivity, passion offers a comfort she cannot resist.

But Isabeau holds Morgan bound in magical chains that only Death can break. And in the court of a cruel, jealous queen, the only thing that burns hotter than love is revenge...

    "Spallbinder"
If you could sum up Spellbinder in three words, what would they be?

Good strong story and characters, spoilt for me by all the sex.It is strong enough to stand without that.

    Story
    "I loved it"

Wow, I never thought we'd get a story about Morgan, but this story really bites into the first in the series in a really circular route. Sid is a musical genius who becomes a pawn in a war that hover around the Sidhe traumatized historical battles. When Morgan and Sid find each other due to conflict firm another tortured victim love and passion binds them in a battle for their love and life.

    Story
"Not As Good As The First Moonshadow"
    Any additional comments?

Spellbinder- is the second book in the Moonshadow series, a spin-off of the Elder Race series. The first book, Moonshadow was excellent and introduced me to Thea Harrison's books.

Sadly, Spellbinder was not as good as Moonshadow, but this world TH has created is favorite of mine to visit. It wasn't a bad book, but I didn't enjoy the music element that played a big part in the theme of this book.

Sid and Morgan, the main characters, are both well developed and interesting characters, that are enslaved by Queen of the light fae Isabeau. It was a good story-it lagged a little for me in the middle and it focused a lot more on Sid's music. It lacked drama and action, so I found it boring during the times it was conversation focused and internal musings.

The ending dragged on and even though I was surprised by the appearance of Dragos from the Elder Race series, I was ready for the story to end.

One major High point in the book was Puck- who is IDK what- who played a major role throughout the book. He was my favorite character in Moonshadow and I loved him in this book. More on Puck!

    Story
"Beautiful love story with just enough suspense and drama."

I was surprise about how much I enjoy this story. The heroine was brave and unselfish. The storyline was not predictable as I believed it was going to be at the beginning. It kept my interest to the end. Many twists and turns throughout the storyline that kept you in suspense about what might happen next. Even one of the villains, Robin stole his way into my heart. Treat yourself I think you will be as pleased as I was. I forgot to mention the narration was excellent.

I too loved the story of Merlin. This is a wonderful twist/take on Morgan's part in that tale. Of course these stories are well written and Sophie Eastlake brings them t life.

    "So Bad He's Good!"
Would you consider the audio edition of Spellbinder to be better than the print version?

As I have listened to all of this series so far; I would have to say, YES!

What did you like best about this story?

Morgan's heart. He had to do so many bad things for so many years but deep down, he is good and that shines through. There is hope where there is forgiveness.

Have you listened to any of Sophie Eastlake’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes and I have enjoyed each and every one. Keep up the good work!!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Only one will skin this cat.
