Summary

Love the story but…
The story was typical P.G. Wodehouse but I struggled to listen due to the narration, it’s poor to say the least

A great story, but there are better narrators
Sorry, but there are just so many issues with the recording. In the first few seconds, just before the narrator gives the name of the book, there is even a loud click as the tape machine starts. The narrator's breathing is most intrusive. Of course it is partly redeemed by this being the first in a great series, but I'm looking out for a better recording.

Great story almost spoiled by narration
Classic convoluted Wodehouse plot. Narrator did a really good job of voice acting for quite a diverse range of parts but I found his own drawly, raspy voice really quite unpleasant to listen to. If it wasn’t for the plot I would have given up on it.

Funniest book by Wodehouse. Highly recommended.
I had read/heard several books by P G Wodehouse and found them pleasant but not very funny. This book was a delightful surprise; it is very funny indeed, it made me laugh out loud. It may be the funniest book P G Wodehouse ever wrote, it is certainly the funniest that I’ve found so far. The book is very witty – based on acute observation and understanding of the human race. The narrator was excellent – brilliantly doing all the voices both male and female. Don’t be put off by the slight echoey sound, I think the sound quality was very good, you can hear every word. I will listen to this audiobook over and over again.

Love the stories and the language used by Wodehouse. He is brilliant and the stories are always light hearted and convoluted. Well read too

Great story ruined by lousy reading
This one I would rather read in a paper format. The narrator is dreadful. His intonation is utterly bizarre. Extremely annoying to listen to.
