Publisher's Summary

Lacy Snow wasn't looking for love when she met strikingly handsome and seductive Dane Braden. But how could she ignore the six-foot-three, darkly handsome god who tagged and researched sharks for a living - and made every nerve in her body tangle into an overly sensitive knot? Even her fear of sharks could not suppress their intense attraction.

As founder of the Brave Foundation, Dane Braden travels from port to port, educating and advocating on behalf of the mammals he adores - and spends his nights finding solace in the arms of strangers. The last thing Dane was looking for when he met Lacy Snow was a relationship, and the last thing he expected was to fall in love.

Fifteen months - and hundreds of flirty emails, steamy phone calls, and sensual video chats - later, they reunite and take passion to a whole new level. But as Lacy's phobia meets Dane's past love life, their steamy romance is upended, and when tragedy strikes, Dane and Lacy are forced to face their deepest fears head-on as they try to navigate their own sea of love.

What did you like most about Sea of Love?

This was a coming of the Snow sisters with the Braden Family. It was good to catch up with Danica and Kaylie.

Who was your favorite character and why?

So many to choose from, Dane because he loves his job and so wants to share that with Lacy. Kaylie for her sense of humour, Danica for her love of her sister and Lacy for overcoming her fears to be with Dane.

Which character – as performed by B.J. Harrison – was your favourite?

He did a good job with all the characters. When he is in female mode you forget he is male.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Lacy has her light bulb moment that accidents can happen everyday.

    Any additional comments?

    Love listening to BJ Harrison

    "Very moving story."

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

The Braden saga continues with Dane Branden taking the plunge. Dane and Lacy have only actually seen each other once in the past 15 months. Their attraction was immediate and strong but their careers drove them in different directions and kept them apart, physically, for over a year.

Theirs is a story of learning to overcome fears. They’re both young and idealistic, determined to follow the path they have set for their lives. They’d met at Lacy’s sister’s wedding 15 months earlier and were wildly attracted to each other but did not have the time or opportunity to explore their feelings. They have been communicating with SKYPE and phone calls all this time and now Dane’s brother, Treat, is getting married and they have both arranged to take the time to get to know each other and see where it all goes.

Dane’s love of the ocean, and sharks, is his life and his livelihood. He has always used this as an excuse to never commit to anyone. He spends 98% of his life on the water, even living on his boat. No ties. He has avoided commitment ever since the loss of his mother as a young boy. Watching the pain his father has endured every minute since his mother passed has made him think that loving someone that much is not for him.

His career also poses a huge problem for Lacy, who was attacked by a shark at a young age and bears the scars, inside and out. She is afraid Dane will not want anything more to do with her if he finds out she is deathly afraid of sharks. Not to mention that she is just starting to make a name for herself in her chosen field of marketing and she doesn’t want to give up all the ground she has gained in the industry to travel the world’s oceans, even if it is with the sexiest man she has ever known.

The journey these two must make to conquer their fears is the crux of this story and I found it very moving. It makes you stop and think about your own fears, what would you do to get over them, to move forward with your life, and to have the happiness that is right in front of you, but just out of reach?

    "Love vs shark"

A year and a half have gone by and Lacy and Dane spoke, text, or FaceTime almost daily, but never got together. Lacy has her doubts, but a bigger issue is his job.
MJ Harrison does a wonderful job bringing the characters to life! A great audiobook.

    "Hot and Scorching Read"

I truly loved this book. It was amazing from beginning to end. B.J Harrison was an amazing narrator. Lacy and Dane's story was worth the wait. 15 long months of not seeing each other except thru emails and flirty texts and video chats. Thats a long time. So u know when they finally do meet that all their longing is gonna come to a head. And i was not disappointed. Their dance at the wedding. Their first kiss. It was all hot hot hot. I truly recommend listening to this audiobook.

What did you love best about Sea of Love?

The anticipation of wanting to see how how Lacy and Dane work things out despite their fears and differences.

What other book might you compare Sea of Love to and why?

I compare this to Rex and Jade's story. There were big obstacles standing in their way. It takes courage to overcome them.

Which character – as performed by B.J. Harrison – was your favorite?

Dane. I love listening to the different voices that B.J. is able to portray, but listening to the emotion that he brought to the character made me want to keep listening.

"A sea of stars for this awesome book!!"
Would you listen to Sea of Love again? Why?

I absolutely would listen again. BJ Harrison continues to do this amazing series justice with his narrating abilities. I love the different voices he uses for all of the characters and the fact that he uses the same voice for characters from the previous books he has narrated when they make appearances in the current book. A good example of this would be Hal, Kaylie or Treat. Just fantastic!!!!

What other book might you compare Sea of Love to and why?

The storyline in Sea of Love is different from any other that I have read so there is no comparison in that respect. However since it is about the Braden family, I would compare to the other Love in Bloom books. Such an amazing series!

Which character – as performed by B.J. Harrison – was your favorite?

Oh geez, tough choice. I love his performance of Dane but he does such an amazing job voicing all of the characters and bringing them all to life I feel like I can't really choose.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

If you can understand your fear, you just may be able to overcome it.

    Any additional comments?

Another amazing book in this series written by the fabulous Melissa Foster, and an equally amazing performance by BJ Harrison.

    "Worth the Wait"

Lacy and Dane met at Her sisters' destination wedding in Nassau. Fifteen months later, at Max & Treat's wedding, they FINALLY see each other in person after all those months of texts, phone calls, & video chats. But all the buildup was more than what Lacy bargained for when she develops a panic attack after realizing her fear of sharks...which happens to be Dane's livelihood.
But Dane won't let her go with fighting for her. He develops a way to help Lacy by showing her everything to do with the Brave Foundation.
Finally, they get thru her fears and believe they can get thru anything...until an accident makes it clear to the both of them that things aren't so clear cut.
They soon realize that with their love, they can get thru anything!
BJ Harrison brings the book alive and really allows you to feel what the characters are feeling...allowing you to know exactly what they are going through!

"Sail away on the sea of love"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely! I have already recommended this to a friend. The story itself is one of my favorites and B.J. Harrison does a great job of making you feel like you are right there in the story.

What did you like best about this story?

I love how sensitive Dane is. He try's to immerse Lacy in all things sharks to help her try and get over/deal with her fear of sharks.

Have you listened to any of B.J. Harrison’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have and this one ranks right up there.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It did not make me laugh or cry but it is filled with lots of emotion. My heart swelled with the amount of love Dane has and shows for Lacy.

"B.J. Harrison and Melissa Foster no need to say more"

This is the sixth audio book I have listen to by these two amazing people. Melissa writes it and BJ reads it and together they have gold! Not only have I loved all of Melissas books I'm now loving the Audio version more. BJ just has a voice that pulls you in. I love when he talks as Hal, that slow southern drawl... his reading as Lacy and Dane is just perfect. Each book he narrates you can tell it's him, but he changes it up a little when new characters come about and he keeps true to the ones from previous books. Melissa I truly believe you picked a fantastic guy to narrate your stories. I hope he continues to be the one to narrate them. Lucy and Dane are perfect for each other, I just love how they try to go apart but just can't, you have made it to difficult for me to pick a favorite, in going to just have to say every single thing you have written is my favorite.
Thank you both for giving me something to get lost in, I have truly enjoyed every second of Sea of Love and I look forward to more on this Braden clan. A very happy reader/listener.
Anyone reading my review, just know you will love this one too. Melissa Fosters books speak for themselves and then add BJ Harrison's voice and it's perfection (in my opinion), but once you have finished I don't think you will disagree. So happy listening!!!!

    "Another great story!"

This was a great addition to this series as it progresses. I enjoyed Lacey and Dane's story as they overcame fears and insecurities to find their love. I enjoyed the return of the characters from the previous books in the series as well as the strong sense of family among the characters throughout the book. I like how each book in this series can be read as a standalone book but the reader is given enough backstory so that the reader was not lost. In the audio version of this book, I enjoyed the narrator in that his narration was easy to follow and clear. The narrator was also able to make enough changes to the voices of the characters so that they were easy to differentiate between but made them enjoyable to follow and interesting in character. Like the other books in this series, I have enjoyed this book from start to finish.
