Summary
The hilarious and heartfelt new novel from the best-selling author of Out of Practice!
The Practice at Larkford has suddenly been thrust under the spotlight - and its nomination as an NHS Model Surgery is causing the team major headaches. Dr Holly Graham should be basking in the glow of her new romance with fellow doctor Taffy - but she is worried that the team is prioritising plaudits over patients, and her favourite resident, the irreverent and entertaining Elsie, is facing a difficult diagnosis. Add to that the chaos of family life, and the strain is starting to show.
Dr Dishy Dan Carter's obsession with work is masking unhappiness elsewhere - he can't persuade girlfriend Julia to settle down. It's only as Julia's mother comes to stay that he realises what she has been hiding for so long. Alice Walker joins the team like a breath of fresh air, and her assistance dog, Coco, quickly wins everyone round - which is just as well, because Coco and Alice will soon need some help of their own. Can they pull together and become the dream team that the NHS obviously thinks they are?
Practice Makes Perfect is read for you by Anna Bentinck, narrator of Out of Practice, David Nicholls' One Day and Me Before You by Jojo Moyes.

Loved it
I loved the first book in this series and was a bit dubious that a follow up book could live up to it. I can only say that book 2 was even better than the first. It made me happy, sad and excited I have over 700 audio books and this one is in my top 5. The author either has a great knowledge of a doctor's way of life or has studied the subject meticulously. It certainly made more aware of the pressure doctors work under.
The narration was excellent and added to the enjoyment of the book.
Can't wait until there is a book 3

Question❓
Love the book, smashing follow up to previous story. However I want to know why on the picture of the 'book cover ' as it were, the reader is named as ANNA BENTWICK , but in the book description the reader is ANNA BENTINK❓ Is this a test to see how observant the reader is or simply an error????
Good narrator whoever she is, loved it!!

I have waited months in order to catch this next Penny Parkes novel and it has certainly been worth the wait. Beautifully narrated by Anna Bentinck. Lovely characters. Great story. I can't wait for Book 3 in the series.

Village life at it's best!
This is a story about real people; real lives and emotions and situations one can easily relate to. Two wonderfully humorous characters, Taffy and Elsie. Others develop themselves as the stories unfold. I empathised with so much and shed a tear several times - emotional not sad tears. Highly recommended!
