Summary

Can their love withstand the trials of war? Georgiana Darcy and Edward Fitzwilliam want only to be together. But when the former Emperor Napoleon escapes from his exile on the Isle of Elba, Britain is plunged into renewed war with France...and Edward is once more called away to fight.

To be with the man she loves, Georgiana makes the perilous journey to Brussels, in time to witness the historic downfall of Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo. But when Edward is gravely injured in the battle, she will need more courage than she ever knew she had to fight for their future together.

OK but plot weaker than vol 1

A pot boiler with more plot lines than necessary.
As in vol 1 the narrator is very distracting. For example pronounces 'gone' to rhyme with 'bone' and, most ludicrously (and consistently), 'aunt' to rhyme with 'punt'. What group in which place pronounces English like this?

Another beautiful story but a slightly shaky accent at times

The story is excellent and well worth listening to. Unfortunately the accent can be a bit shaky at times, especially the Irish accent (to be honest I thought it was Scottish until the character declared himself to be Irish).

Overall though a good story.
