Publisher's Summary

Rafe and Rowan's story.

Rowan grew up believing she was an outcast, but found her place in the world nonetheless. Or so she believed. Her unusual features attract a very unusual and attractive man when she's in a night club looking for a new sexual diversion. What she doesn't know is that this man knows more about her than she knows herself - he knows what she really is. She falls in love with him in the process of opening her eyes to the world she really belongs in. But his love may not be enough to make her stay.

Publisher's note: Night Fire is a short story set in the world of the Rising Dragons series. The story takes place prior to the events of Breath of Destiny (Rising Dragons, book one), and can be listened to as a standalone. There is a cliffhanger, but the story continues in Rising Dragons has a full-novella resolution for these characters in book six of the series, Breath of Flame and Shadow.

"Total tease leaving you desperately wanting more"

This is book 0.5 of the Rising Dragon series by Ophelia Bell.
Rowan sit in her usual club trying to find her next conquest but meets Rafe a dark sexy man with a panty melting accent.
This book is incredibly short but so intense you are so gutted when it finishes.
The book finishes on a cliffhanger that make you want to desperately buy next book in series.
The narrator was fantastic especially swapping accents between the two male characters. Looking forward to reading Rafe and Rown HEA hopefully in series

    "Great story"
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that is into supernatural anything.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Loved the steamy scenes and hated how sometimes it was slow.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

I loved the book but I did not like her voice for some reason. It was dull.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

A better narrator, I did not like her voice for some reason. It was dull to me

    Story
"What's coming next? Can't wait to hear..."
Would you consider the audio edition of Night Fire to be better than the print version?

It's always interesting to hear someone else's interpretation of the characters. I really enjoyed the narrator's voice for Rafe. It added a richness to him that I couldn't provide just reading the book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I always like Kohl. Though he played a small roll in this book, I have read the others in the series and he strikes me as a man who was able to conquer his demons and help others with theirs too.

    Which scene was your favorite?

I loved the scene in the bar where they make a bet on the outcome of a tete-a-tete.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No. Not because the writing wasn't good but because this is just the beginning of the story and it was more about setting up action then moving my emotions.

    Any additional comments?

I don't normally care for cliff hangers but having read these books, I was more intrigued with the audio then annoyed by the cliff hanger. I look forward to listening to others.

    "Hotter in Audio!!"

I am a fan! Ophelia Bell's story comes to life narrated by the perfect Elizabeth Maxwell. It wasn't difficult at all to picture everything in my mind as I listened. The different accents the Miss Maxwell uses for the characters only adds to the visuals in the imagination. I received this audio book to review and was not disappointed. The story is a great beginning to the series and I am addicted from page 1. Can't wait for the next one!

"What a wonderful beginning to a series"

This is my first audio book by written Ophelia Bell and narrated by Elizabeth Maxwell. I really enjoyed listening to this story. Elizabeth brings these characters to life and brings the feelings forward, and I really loved that.

    "Could NOT Stop Listening!!"

This was my first audio download & I absolutely LOVED listening to it. I had planned on listening while on the way to work, but I got too eager & couldn't wait. For someone that loves reading, I now have a new way to get my fix!!

It wasn't difficult at all to picture everything in my mind as I listened. The different accents the narrator uses for the characters will definately draw you in deeper, making you want more. Rowan's character was amazing, so confident & independent that it was only fitting that she was a red.

Everyone should certainly download this book if they're looking for a good read/listening experience & want to be easily transported to a world with beautiful dragons ....even for just a little while. I will definately be downloading more of my favorite authors (especially Ophelia Bell) very soon!!
