The only good girls Nero knows jump in his bed when he tells them to.

An enjoyable read!!!

This had little bit of everything. It was funny, it was sad and it was very steamy. I love this book. Amo and Vincent are freakin hilarious!!!!

A tad juvenile for my taste.

The story line was good but the story being based on high school teenagers, I just couldn't relate. Almost made me feel like a pedophile listening to under age teens you know what. Lol... However, fair is fair and I'll give the book an honest review. I think the story line was good and it was well written. The narrator made the girls sound either whiny and bi*chy or whiny and weak, though. Otherwise, he was fine. It would have been better if it were at least in a college setting rather than high school. Also, we never really find out why Elle was bullied so badly (or at least the bits that were revealed don't seem merit the kind of torture she suffered) and why she defended Chloe the way she does which kind of leaves us hanging.

Anyway, I don't think I'll move on to the next book, not because it was bad, just because it's not my cup of tea.

Predictable, juvenile, unrealistic.

This story had possibility, but seemed to be unnaturally pieced together from other mob stories. And the main characters were in high school! It's hard to imagine a bad ass mobster
who hasn't graduated yet. Lol. Won't be getting the next one. :(

two words...Amazing and hott!

I absolutely loved Nero. He was sexy, attractive, and so protective it made the story a breeze to fly through. I couldn't put it down.

Freaking weird and unbelievable

I really really hope that no prep schools in the World Works the Way the One in this book does - too much violence and u would Think that a prep School were u actually pay a lot for a better School would take action for broken bones and slashes in the face. And the fact that the female MC does not know the name of the biggest crimefamily in the City - or at least tries to find out when she wittness a murder - just make her look comepletely braindead - because it is of cause also neros last name - And she is supposed to be clever. And she is also portraied as strong but is still bending to nero every demand (and he is a dominant and a bully) which makes her even more stupid and unbelievable. And nero is absolutely not likable and it is not because i dont like dominant MC - which i normally do - but he does not Seem to have many braincells either. I have no idea how this book have Got so many good reviews. I know that they are teenagers and it May explain some of the lack of brainactivity that does not involve sex or violence, but at the same time they are very self-sufficient and live their lives comepletely without parental supervision. So not believable and i Didnt finish.

A great story told by a great narrator.

I downloaded this audio book for a long car ride and I absolutely loved it. Not only did Sarah Brianne write a terrific story but Aaron Landon did an amazing job narrating. He not only read the book but he differentiated the voices of each character perfectly. The first time I heard him speak in Nero's voice I melted. His voice for Vincent is spot on as well as Amo's and don't even get me started on how on point he was with speaking in Lucca's tone. I purchased the second audio book immediately after I saw he was the narrator. I certainly hope he does the rest.

Lukewarm mob romance

I went into this one wanting a juicy Mob/Mafia romance. This one was lukewarm, like reality tv mob.
Nothing like Ivan (Her Russian Protector, #1) by Roxie Rivera or Sempre (Forever, #1) by J.M. Darhower. This featured a young high school girl Elle, who went to take out the garbage after her shift at a diner, but accidentally witnessed a mob hit.
Nero, the boss's younger son, was tasked with "handling" the Problem (Elle). They went to school together, so Nero was in the perfect position to find out what Elle knew and whom (if anyone) she told, and then clean up.

Nero decided to try honey instead of vinegar, but didn't expect to find out what that Elle had all the qualities he desired in a woman. What to do when the girl you want can topple your father's empire.

First, the narrator wasn't good. Also, this story felt cheesy and the mob heirs were corny like those Gotti kid in their reality show. I never felt like Elle was in real danger, heck, neither did Elle. The writing had no real suspense or urgency or fear of life. It felt more like a book on high school bullying.

I may read book 2 but only if I get it on a sale.
