Summary

Gavriel Ambrosios has been dreaming of his accident prone mate for weeks. Now that he is nearing the apex of his vampiric transition, she has made her way to Lycaonia, just when he is at his most dangerous.

Elizabeth Monroe was planning on staying in Lycaonia while humans forgot about the swan dive she took out of her boss's office window. Little did she know that this short side trip was about to become permanent.

Gavriel is the mate she has always dreamed of. Even as he sweeps her off her feet his need to protect her has him pushing her away. She's both concerned with and drawn to his darker nature, but is determined to see him through his transition.

In the shadows their enemy has targeted Gavriel when they know he is at his most vulnerable. They creep ever closer to the Alpha estate putting the men on high alert.

But as the days get shorter and the nights get longer Elizabeth begins to wonder, which is the bigger threat? The enemy or her mate?

Bunny 🐰

Beth is a strong, capable, elegant accidental pone woman. She's smart and nerdy 🤓 and I'm glad she exceed her mate dreams and is 10 times better than what was expected..
The story is so good and I can't wait for more... Charlotte Kane your voice and narration is so great and I enjoy listening 👂 to you

Series continues to be maddening...

The maturing of the writing from book 1 to 2 is evident. The timeline, for one, stays consistent. Also, the uncontrollable foul language in book 1 has been curbed to a believable level. I am very happy in the progression of both. However, this book wasn't nearly as funny as the first and I wanted more of that wit and laughter that encouraged me to purchase this title despite the problems in the first book. The story line is interesting but this felt like a filler book and the romance seemed a bit slow. That may just be a personal preference. I like a bit of conflict, maybe some uncertainty. I want the romance to come about and develop. In this story, however, it's just a lot of - yep, we like each other, let's have sex, try not to kill me, ok? And as interesting as that kind of sounds, it just didn't hold my attention like romances usually do. With all of that said, however, I'm accepting it as a filler book and I would consider buying the third if it gets released on Audible. Colton is one of my favorite characters and he's up next. ***fingers crossed***

REALLY enjoyable PNR series.

so glad book 2 is now on audio. very enjoyable series. love the characters. and the progression of development. Book 2 picks up about a month after book 1 ends. Meryn has moved into the alpha house with her mate and her squire. But company is coming in the form of the most accident prone woman EVER! it's funny, quirky, exciting, dangerous, little bit of romance. Can't wait for book 3 on audio.
love the narration too. She has a very pleasant voice, good job!

It's so hilarious, I love it!

She did it again, Alanea. She did a fantastic with teh characters and the plotline. This book was alss funny like book 1 and loved it all.
Firstly, I would definitely recommend reading the first book before starting this one. The story line starts in book one, continuing into this book, and goes on into the next book as well. I enjoyed both Elizabeth and Gavriel characters. I found that, Gavriel was sweet and had a poet's soul. Elizabeth was endearing with her over the top klutzyness.

Oh Meryn, you crack me up within this book. You go girl! Bethy is sweet, and funny and who loves Doctor Who.

I would recommend this book five stars to paranormal lovers everywhere
