Publisher's Summary

He taught me to kill. Murder is in my blood now. It runs through my veins and though I hide the monster I see in the mirror with ink, it doesn't keep him from coming out.

My street name is Mercy, but I never show any. Except for her. I watch Becca, though she doesn't know. She saved me a long time ago; the day my father killed my mother. Her bravery turned her into a target.

My father holds a grudge and knife with the same proficiency, and Becca is the focus of his hatred. And I'm the only monster who can save her.

    Story
"I love a true love story"

The art of writing a true love story has, it seems to have been forgotten,However, Debra Anastasia has remembered how it’s done. The idea is totally unique and fresh. There is an air of danger to keep you engaged, the love though shines through.

Muffy Newtown and Zachary weber seized on the hearts of the characters and made them live.

I will listen to this story more than one more time.

    Story
    "meant for each other!"

I have to say this story has me torn.

Nix has a horrible childhood but Beca has been the light of hope he always needed.

I am not a fan of what Beca did for Nix towards the end of the story, the hole story line about her mom is also odd it doesn't really flow with the story line. i won't go into detail about the story to avoid spoilers.

I love Zachary Webber!!!! however Muffy is still not my favorite but i finish the story as i wanted to see where these characters finish their story,

If it wasn't for Zachary webber i would have return this book

    Story
    "Wish the ending was stronger"

Hopefully there will be a follow up. Story was good but I thought the ending was rushed. If there is an Animal story maybe we will get more closure.
Female narrator has not been my favorite in the past but she was better in this narration. The male was awesome as always.

    Story
    "Badass soulmates united!"

I loved Mercy when I read it and loved it when I listened to the audiobook.
Zachary Webber did an amazing performance. His voice was fitting for Nix, bringing all the complexity and awesomeness of his character. His inflexions for Rebecca and little Christina were great. Muffy Newtown on the other hand was just fine. I'm not a big fan of her narrations to be honest, but after a few chapters I got used to her voice and I ended up enjoying the whole audiobook.
All in all, Mercy was an great story. 100% recommended.

    Story
    "Well done Debra Anastasia!!!"

I had not ever heard of Debra Anastasia but glad I have.
This story is bold with twists and turns that I didn't see coming. There were times that I couldn't stop listening.
Phoenix's childhood was something out of a horror story. But when Becca comes along trying to make it all better for the small boy in the grocery store, he can't forget her. As an adult he remembers her...her words, her kindness.
The love that develops between Phoenix and Becca goes so deep, it's so raw and amazing all at the same time.
If you're looking for a great listen, Mercy is def worth a credit.

    Story
    "Unique! Bad editing/great story line!"

This story will push conventional boundaries. Anastasia is no doubt a gifted writer.

"Mercy" is an assassin. He had the stereotypical abusive childhood which turned him into the man he had become. He first encounter Rebecca as a child and she influenced him for the rest of his life.

"Mercy" kept tabs on Rebecca believing he was keeping her safe. His behavior seemed stalkers, bordering on mental illness of some sort, but in the end (no spoilers) you were made to understand his obsession.

Rebecca is intertwined with that of Mercy's, she continually made excuses for "coincidences" as to why Mercy knew so much about her, until she couldn't any longer.

This is a well written, interesting book. However, I agree that this story seemed to lack any editing what-so-ever. There are quite a few error and mispronunciations. If you are a stickler for perfection this listen may be hard for you.

    Story
    "Ridiculous! Mediocre at best!"

I absolutely disliked the writing. Expressions such as "I wanted to slap her tits", or "we bumped tits" just didn't sit right with me. The heroine is a whinny, immature and idiotic woman. I just couldn't finish the book. I loved both narrators, but even though they gave their best, the story was too weak.
