Publisher's Summary

Dragons, duty, destined mates, and a deadly rival...

Silas Llewellyn, the last of a once-mighty dragon clan, doesn’t have time for anything but work and duty. He certainly doesn’t have time for love - not with a ruthless enemy plotting to destroy everything he holds dear. When a priceless diamond - one of the legendary Spirit Stones - surfaces in New York, Silas knows the jewel is nothing but trouble... just like the alluring woman who refuses to relinquish the gem.

Bartender Cassandra Nichols never asked to inherit a mysterious diamond, and she really never intended to come between two warring dragons. But with one near-miss escape after another, she has no choice but to choose sides. Before she knows it, she’s whisked by private jet to an oceanfront estate in Hawaii for her own “protection”. Is the enigmatic Mr. Llewellyn just another billionaire dragon who thinks he can claim anything he wants? Or is there more to the soulful stranger than meets the eye?

    "Finally, It's Silas's Turn"

It was with great anticipation and a degree of sadness that I started to listen to this story. The anticipation because I have adored this series, the previous four books all great standalone stories but all of them leading to this book. The sadness coming because throughout the previous books we have been told about the five spirt stones and one has featured in each book and each stone has brought with it a strong mate for one of the five shifters at Koa Point. With this book being the fifth I wasn't looking forward to this wonderful series ending.

So at the start of this book we are at an auction where Silas is bidding against his enemy Drax for the fifth and final spirit stone, the auction is ended early and the stone withdrawn by it's rightful owner, Cassandra. Cassandra has just inherited the diamond from her aunt and also found out that she is part witch, she had been told, by her aunt, that it's better to destroy the stone than let it fall into the hands of a dragon. She is confronted by Drax trying to take the stone from her but saved by Silas.

Silas takes Cassandra to Koa Point so he can better protect her and so the story of Silas and Cassandra begins. This book held for me so much passion, Silas has always been the strong silent leader of the shifters on at Koa Point. But I always felt for him because he was always so alone.

Silas knows that Cassandra is his destined mate, but he does not act on it because witches and dragons have always been enemies. Also Cassandra has told him that she has been warned to never trust a dragon. But during her time at Koa Point the two are inextricably drawn to each other. Cassandra spends her days reading old books and finding out all she can about the shifter world as well as witches, and also learning about the spirit stones and how they came into being.

I want to say more but I can't without giving too much of the vital parts of the book away and I'd hate to do that it would spoil anyone's enjoyment of the book so all I can say is that this book is a must read, if you like stories about true love, destined mates, loyalty and good winning out over evil. One thing it's safe to tell you is that the chemistry and interactions between Silas and Cassandra are hot and extremely well written.

Oh' and Anna Lowe has left the door open for more so for me that was one of the best endings she could have written.

    "Good story"

I love this series. The characters are sexy and strong. It moves at a great pace. And it's exciting enough to keep you listening to the entire book in one sitting. It's stories like this that really make me wish shifters were real. LOL

Ms. Osborne does a great job with bringing life to the characters.

"Transition to audible lost something for me."

I have posted a review for this book as well which I will include at the end.
I found listening to this book different from the previous books. The narration is the same as always, slightly monotone in presentation but the big battle scene towards the end felt more dragging and longer than when I read it in the book. Whilst reading it seemed exciting and all happened quickly, I loved it but something was lost in the transition to audible.
This is the culmination of five books worth of aggravation from Drax and Moira and it seemed to come across as more of a whimper than a bang.
My husband was in the car with me and even he commented on how dull it seemed for a big battle scene.
So in regards to this audible book I love the story but the narration lets it down. Not enough verve when needed.
This is my honest review of this audible book.
Ms Lowe has done it once again and given us another great story in the Aloha Shifters series.
A beautifully written story for a special person we have come to love, Silas, that introduces a wonderfully complex yet simple woman made just for him, Cassie.
This book starts out with a kick and just keeps you hustling to read what happens next.
Cassie has only just learned about shifters and has been told in no uncertain terms to NEVER trust a dragon. She manages to stop Drax from getting the Windstone and puts herself right in Drax crosshairs.
Silas saves her and gives her the option of coming with him to safety or going it alone. He is drawn to Cassie but won’t admit why but his dragon knows and keeps telling him quite forcefully and humorously, that she is his mate. Silas’ dragon was so cute as he kept a running commentary with Silas about Cassie being their mate that had me in stitches.
Cassie is the only one who can get Silas to stop and enjoy the beauty of what life is showing him. She is the balance he so badly needed. He has never really even stopped to admire the view from his own house.
I loved how this story played out, the interaction between these two learning to trust the other and the slow build up to a relationship that will last a lifetime.
Having started this series with 5 handsome shifter males, Ms Lowe has given us everything we need to start winding this series up. But instead has she has subtlety opened this series up to more characters and more great reads.
Loved that we finally find out about the ownership of Koa Point and it is now a settled home for everyone.
It was such a twist as to how Silas and Drax finally get together for the final battle and I truly loved the poetic justice of what happened to Drax, unfortunately Moira is still at large.
This is my honest review of this book.

"Great narration of a great book"

Love the way Anna Lowe writes a story. Such intrigue from the first word to the last. This is the continuation of the Aloha series. We get to continue with the characters we love from the previous books with the addition of Cassandra. This is the quest for the wind stone. This book has everything you will want..romance, battles, arrogant antagonists, love, sex and victory. I was gifted this book. I voluntarily give my review. This is my honest review. I loved this book. Great story that will keep you involved. Great job again Anna Lowe.
