Summary

Ten-year-old Zac has never met his dad, who allegedly did a runner before he was born. But when his mum lets slip that he's the only man she's ever loved, Zac turns detective and, roping in his best friend, hatches a plan to find his father and give his mum the happy ever after she deserves. What he doesn't realise, though, is that sometimes people have good reasons for disappearing....

Sensitive, Touching and Funny

I totally loved this. I've read all of Katy Regan's books and this is my favourite. She tackles some pretty big topics (sorry no spoilers here)....and does so with sensitivity and a real understanding of the issues.
I loved hearing the northern accents of the narrators - it really added to the book and made me enjoy it all the more.
Pick this book if you want a 'real page turner', where you will for sure adore the characters, laugh out loud and no doubt cry in several places. A must read/listen. Utterly brilliant.
