Summary

Dark. Mysterious. Gorgeous.

Loved by all the girls. Respected by all the guys.

As the heir to a billion-dollar empire, Kian Maston's future was promising - until the day he saved my life. Everything changed for both of us, and there was one more word that could be used to describe him: dangerous. The nation fell in love with Kian while falling in hate with me. He was sent to prison, and as far as they were concerned, it was my fault. I was forced to go into hiding until today.

Kian's being released from prison, and he should go back to being the golden boy he always was supposed to be. I should remain in hiding, living my life as normal as could be. That's what we should do....

Contains mature themes.

A winner!

I was hooked from the beginning. Got to say I'm an avid Tijan fan, and this book did not disappoint. The story follows Jo who was viciously attacked by her foster father, and Kian who saved her, by killing him, and the fallout caused by the press and public. I fell in love with Jo from the get go, it did however, take me a while to figure out the relationship between Jo and Kian. I had so many different scenarios in my head at one point. Is Jo scared of Kian? Is Kian a danger to Jo? What is Kian's MO? Dual POV is my favourite, so I was happy to see Kian's POV in there from time to time. I found the additional characters and side stories only served to enhance the intrigue, lies, and deceit in this fantastic read. Highly recommend.

You feel this one down to your toes.

I can't put my finger on exactly why, maybe it's the intensity and mystery surrounding Kian, or the emotional backstory of their whole story, but I definitely felt the emotions for the entirety of this story.
I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I was a little confused by the characters choices seeming to against who they are, but overall it didn't take away from the book much, and I would give it a recommendation.

Dangerous Love

Graham Halstead and Saskia Maarleveld did a fantastic job narrating the story of Kian.

Okay, so I thought this book wasn't going to keep my interest as much as other stories written by Tijan. But,

Kian exceeded all my expectations and I could not put it down and because I also have it on audio, I stayed up listening to and reading Kian. LOL. the husband didn't like that

Kian was sent to prison for killing someone, he did two years in federal prison for his crime. Because, Kian is rich and handsome and his last name had weight behind it, what he did and why made him a hero in the eyes of the public. What the public didn't know was the story behind the actions leading up to his being arrested. Kian never blamed Jordan for his being arrested and going to prison his action was his own and he did kill her foster dad because he was hurting her. He was coming to talk to her because of someone else wanting to hurt her for totally different reasons.

After Kian went to prison Jordan's life became a living Hell where she had to drop out of school, get her GED, leave and become a totally new different person. She had a new life, friends and the normalcy she always wanted. When Kian gets out of prison early because of a corrupt judge and only does 2 years. but, the first thing he want is to find Jordan against everyone advise and warning. He knows he has to find her and make sure she's okay. He doesn't want to disrupt the life she's built for herself. Kian was all over the news and everywhere she turned his and her old face was there staring back at her. She couldn't escape, she didn't want to be put in the situation where everyone blamed her again and feel the wraft of all those who didn't understand or care what she had to go through as a child or human being, she was a nobody. Kian had saved her life so she would forever be grateful for that.

But the fates have a better plan for those two that they have to maneuver through all the obstacle's to get to. What they have to come to terms to is if the HEA that they're feeling is really worth the path they have to take.
Kian is very much worth checking out two thumbs up...

A dark, mysterious read!

He killed for her...

OH. MY. GOSH. This book is simply brilliant. Loved this story!

Wow! Kian = dark, HOT and is to-die-for (I mean, a guy who sacrifices everything to protect his girl is absolutely to-die-for!).

This book was written with such emotion, darkness and mysterious that it captivates your attention, holding you hostage until you realise that the book and story is over, leaving you craving for more...

Full of darkness, mystery, suspense, trust, allure, intrigue, choices and romance.

Perfect for readers of dark romance/contemporary romance.

This narrator duo sucked me into the story right from the beginning! The narrator for the hero was unbelievably and undeniably alluring and compelling - so intriguing!

Past & Present Collide

I loved the background of this storyline as it's something that's terribly true! What happens when you have been hiding due to the past, but the past finds you? Listen &/or read this Tijan book to find out the truth of the past & present!

Just Okay.

I'm a huge lover of Tijan, but this book was not good. It was incredibly slow, which I'm okay with sometimes if the steam makes up for it later on, but the "sexy" parts were glazed over and bad too. I didn't feel the connection between Jordan and Kian, and I never grew to like anything about Jordan's character. If you want great Tijan read the Fallen Crest series, or Hate to Love You.

FLAT. I am not impressed

Any additional comments?

I usually LOVE Tijan's books. I don't know if it was the narrator or what, but this book was hard to get through. I kept thinking - "ok, it HAS to get better somewhere". There was SO much potential, but it fell short each time.
Sorry Tijan - This one - NOT so good
