Summary

From New York Times best-selling author, Penelope Ward, comes a new novelette.

The first time I met Jade Jameson, I lost my words and accidentally dropped a beer bottle, smashing it to the ground. The Broadway star sister of my brother's wife had paid us a surprise visit on Christmas. Quite simply, she was the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen; I was mesmerized.

I'd made a fool of myself, though, and to make matters worse, my girlfriend was standing right there when it all happened. Jade went back to New York, and we didn't cross paths again for a year - until one night when a Facebook notification lit up my screen, setting off a chain of events that would change my life forever.

Jaded and Tyed is a 16,000 word novelette. (The length is shorter than a novella.)

Short and Sweet

And so this review will be. Love the author, love the narrators. I enjoyed seeing/hearing neighbor dearest and Chelsea again. Only flaw - too short but then they all are. This short book won’t disappoint.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Time To Shine⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

First, love the play on words/names in the title. Really sometime it's the little things.

I wanted to read a short HEA while at chemo. Well this slice of perfection was exactly what the love doctor ordered. With these short romances I've been listening too lately, I have found 5 out of 6 too be to short. I'm greedy and wanted more, more, more!

It amazes me how in such a short book our author Penelope Ward was able to develop such strong characters. Jacob Morgan and Andi Arndt were able to bring the story and the characters to life like the pros that they are. I feel the love, passion & friendship from start to finish.

I hope you enjoy Jaded & Tyed as much as I did. But remember this review is my personal opinion. Your opinion may vary. ENJOY!!!

What do you do when love strikes?

Nice quick story with likable characters and two excellent narrators. The age old question, “how
do you know it’s love?” is the background of all romance, but especially in this short story. A tale filled with life’s elements; desire, love, loss, grief, and joy.
Great narrators make a good story better - Andi and Jacob make a story come to life.

Short and sweet

I think it’s difficult for a writer to do such a short story successfully but Ward did a good job. Given that it builds off Neighbor Dearest. It was hard to get into because even having read that, I still didn’t know these main characters well enough to understand them.

Neighbor Dearest along with Step-Brother Dearest are two of my favorite romances, so I automatically give Jaded and Tyed the benefit of the doubt that another might not. This is just a short, sweet add-on that we get as a bonus.

I’d have preferred she just write this as a full novel but I get it. I’d recommend it if you can get it cheap and have an urge to dive back into the Neighbor Dearest world.

Gem

What a little gem of a story! Modern romance about a love at first sight with a HEA.
The Arndt & Morgan narration combo is a big bonus.
