    "And the plot thickens...."

First of all, this is part two of the story. If you haven't read/heard part one, it is best to do that first.

That said, this story is 5 months on from where the last story ended. Kade and Andy have a lot of issues to work through. This is definitely the middle section, or at least part of the middle section, of the story because it is a little slow moving. But it certainly not boring. Small town East coast Andy moves to LA thanks to a little meddling on Kade's part. What a challenge that is for Andy! And for Kade too, who finds himself facing fatherhood and adjusting to changes in his life choices. Lots of drama with the potential for more in the next installation of the story. I cannot wait!!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

    "Second Is Better!!!"

Each time Andi and Cade get somewhere, they get thrown back by outside forces. I really how they get their HEA when everything is said and done.

Chris A bell did an amazing job narrating both the male and female lead characters POV and I often forget that there is just one narrator. I can't wait to listen to the rest of the series!

I was excited to continue Cade and Andy's story. This book picks up right where the first left off. I like the addition of the new characters and several are quite quirky. Cade is my newest book boyfriend. He tries so hard and I know it has to work out for them. However, the end of book 2 seems to throw a wrench in the works. Arrrrg! I want book 3 now, like right now. I voluntarily reviewed this audiobook after receiving an advanced copy I requested.

    "Another great book!"

Andie and Cade are back, and the laughter is too. Can Andie and Cade work through the issues that have been thrown at them? An excellent story with a narrator I love listening to. I definitely recommend this book!

"The Quarterback and the Librarian - the story continues"

Cade and Andie's story picks up right where book 1 left off and it gets even more complicated. Now Cade's past comes to light and becomes an issue. Can Cade and Andie put the past where it belongs and move on with their relationship?

I really enjoy Rachelle Ayala's story telling and Chris Abell's narration. I'm anxiously awaiting book 3 for the resolution to this cliffhanger!

    "Strong Satisfying Sequel"

This is book 2 in the Intercepted by Love series, if you haven't read book 1, go get it! This book begins right where the last one left off, in the middle of a gaggle of reporters and a woman from Cade's past. Andi discovers Cade's true identity, and everything is just too much. She tells Cade she can't be with him, and he heads back to Hollywood.

Five months later, Andi is offered the job of a lifetime, a high paying research position for a film series about King David. She accepts, and is shocked to see Cade meet her at the airport dressed as a driver. He offers her a room in his home so she can send more money home to her parents, and Andi accepts as a roommate only. But that doesn't last long with so much tension between them!

This was a steamy book that ended on a cliffhanger. It was a quick read that I didn't want to put down. Cade's mom showed up in this one and she was a sweet surprise. I want to read more about her, I'm really looking forward to the next one!

This book was really about Cade and Andi learning to communicate. They'd both been rejected in the past, and it really shaped how they approached their relationship. Andi was always uncertain about Cade's true feelings, putting him through test after test to see if he really cared. And Cade didn't seem to have learned his lesson as the first thing he did was lie to Andi and pretend to be a poor limo driver. But each hardship seemed to bring them closer together, and they're finally learning to lean on each other.

Chris Abell narrated both books so far, and it's always nice to have the same narrator throughout the series. He's really become Cade for me, his voice is just perfect for him. I received a copy of the audiobook, and I'm voluntarily leaving a review.

    "Enjoyable storyline!!"

Rachelle Ayala's writing shines in Intercepted by Love: Part Two: The Quarterback's Heart Book 2, as does the narration by Chris Abell! For those of you who didn't read my review of Book 1, this series is my first listen in the steamy romance genre. I'm really enjoying it, but because the writing and narration are so good, I don't see how anyone wouldn't be, even those like me who are not accustomed to listening to this genre. It's entertaining from beginning to end....and yes, it does leave me eager for the next in the series! Ayala pulls me in and gets me every time with the ending....cliffhangers! She knows how to keep her readers/listeners at the edge of their seat dying to know what happens next!

Chris Abell is perfect for this part! His voice is smooth, his pace is great, and his tone is right on! He sounds like someone we all know, or think we know, making his story relatable and interesting. He does a fabulous job, and I have even sampled some of his other work...he is so talented! He is one of the few male narrators I have listened to on multiple occasions. He is consistent throughout his entire performance and adds so much to the storyline! Great job, again, Chris!

I highly recommend this series if you enjoy the romance genre. In addition to Rachelle Ayala's steamy romance, I also own multiple books in her sweet romance category. Truthfully, I recommend all of them! She is a fabulous writer. I feel like the characters are real people because I get to know them so well. She has a great way with details...she shows, rather than tells. I can easily visualize everything that is going on like I am there watching it unfold before my very eyes! Now, you know not everyone can do that! Great job, Rachelle, and keep doing what you do best!

I rate this audiobook 5-stars across the board. I can't wait to find out what happens next! I definitely think you should give this series a try, but make sure you start with Book 1 because you don't want to spoil anything for yourself. As I stated before, these books end with a cliff hanger, so make sure you save one of your Audible credits after listening to Book 1, so you can snag up Book 2 right away without having to wait to find out what happens next!

Thank you for reading my review. I hope it helped. :-)

    Any additional comments?

The story picks up where the first book ended with Cade going back to California to do the right thing with the pregnancy of his one night stand. Andie needs more money to help her parents with their medical bills. She decides to take a job as a researcher on a movie in California. Cade has referred her to his friend who is producing the movie and has Andie move in with him to save money. She tells him she will as long as they can just be friends. Of course, with their chemistry that doesn't last too long. They both have a lot to overcome and just when they're starting to trust each other again, Andie's past rears its ugly head. I managed to listen to this in one day while traveling. I really enjoy Rachelle's characters and how Chris Abell brings them to life. This is the second book and there is a third one that hasn't been released yet in audio - I can't wait for the story to continue! I was given a free copy for my review.

    "Ayala has done it again"
    Any additional comments?

After having read many of this authors books, including part 1 of this series, I am seriously impressed by the consistent level of quality that Ayala produces. The romance genre in particular is fertile grounds for formulaic laziness, Mary Sue fantasy fulfillment, and predictable tropes. While Ayala is not 100% immune from tropes and fantasy fulfillment, her books never feel lazy.
There's plenty I could say about the plot and the characters but other reviewers have already done a fine job of covering that and will continue to do so. The aspect of this book, and its predecessor, which sticks out most for me is that everything feels so earned. Character motivations are relatable not contrived. Cheap emotional manipulation would be easy. After all, the author is obviously good at guiding emotion. However, we arrive to the emotional situations organically and the payoff to our emotional investment feels honest and satisfying.
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

"The story just keeps getting better!"

After listening to part one, I purchased the book in eBook format because I just have no patient when I get into the story I want to find out how it ends now! So after looking when part two was going to release I purchased other shiny new objects to distract myself and waited. If your reading this then you already know authors bring the characters to life, narrators give them personality. And this author ALWAYS gives us wonderful characters and amazing storylines! This story is so good that I will sadly not be able to purchase enough new shiny's to make me wait for the next release! This book is not only a sexy romance but a tale of self discovery at its finest and there is just no way I can put off finding out how this author is going to weave this stories tails into a stunning conclusion! And yes it is good enough that when part three releases I will go back and listen to the characters tell me their story even though I will already know how it ended!
