Summary

Jesse Sampson and her two younger sisters have lived a hard life on the streets of Seattle, Washington, for the past several years. Four years before, the Earth received its first visitors from space, causing mass fear. Alone in a world gone mad with just her sisters, Jesse has learned to use the darkness and the remains of the city to survive and keep what was left of her family alive. She has seen the savage side of human nature and finds they are not much different from the aliens who conquered the Earth.

The Trivators have taken control of the Earth to prevent the humans from destroying it in their fear. A world of warriors, they are sent out by the Alliance of Star Systems to seek out new worlds. Their mission is first contact. They are to establish communication with the leaders of the new worlds they find and bring them into the Alliance. Any resistance is to be quickly subdued to prevent unnecessary death of the inhabitants of the new worlds they find. Their payment comes from the success of their mission.

Hunter is what he is called. A hunter, one of the elite clans of the Trivators who seek out those who resist. His abilities to track, capture, and eliminate those who try to harm any warrior are renowned. He finds the tables turned when he becomes the one captured by a group of ruthless humans.

Hunter is shocked when a strange human female risks her life to help him escape only to disappear into the ruins of the city. He now has a new mission, finding the female who saved his life. He is determined to find her before she is damaged by others of her kind.

What he finds is a reward beyond comprehension to a Trivator warrior: a family. Can he convince Jesse that he can give her and her younger sisters a better life on his world? Or will fear keep her from accepting what he has to offer?

Thank goodness a strong female lead role

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely, this book had a great many things going for it. the description in the story was good, the sex scenes were sexy without being vulgar and although the ending wasn't quite what i hoped for however it was OK.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Hunter's Claim?

When the three sisters show these Mighty Warriors just what their made of .......... several times! What's that saying ........ Never come between a woman and her man!

What does David Brenin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

I am ashamed to admit until listening to this book thru Audible, I hadn't heard of the extremely talented David Brenin. Whoever, David Brenin brought the characters alive by using the different tones and subtle changes to his voice to bring out the different personality's of the characters it was wonderful. For me his voice was on the right side of smooth and husky mmm reminded me of melting Chocolate.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

When you send a message out there into space, you should consider that someone will answer it eventually?

Any additional comments?

I did mention that the ending missed a bit but I've already ordered the next book which comes out soon. To the Author more please, I found your book gripping, sexy and a breath of fresh air..... please keep them coming (no pun intended) a great book, Thank you

Hunter

shame it didn't have a female doing the female parts would have added better fiction of story rather than the male trying to do the female parts like he had some part of his anatomy trapped, spoiled a very good story as I look be S E Smith novels.

Lacking female and more narrator and sound effects

David Brenin sounds like a good narrator, but the story has too many key characters to be carried well with one narrator only. There is clear lack of female voice, and even so there are 6 distinct personalities that more narrators should be introduced. Lack of sound effect is also a noticeable issue. The story overall is much more vibrant read than heard. I have read all the books of this series, and enjoyed them all, but I wish that the next audible would be a better experience.
