Summary

Dani Malloye hates the holidays, and with good reason. Though her best friend tries to force the Christmas spirit on her with giant Santas and elves that light up, she'd rather spend her time doing what she does best - enforcing paranormal law on the streets of Chicago.

Nothing like a little evil bloodshed to lighten the mood. Besides, work means she can spend time with her sexy boss, Cornell Sutton. Too bad Cornell is uptight, her new neighbor, and a vampire. Everyone knows slayers and vampires just don't mix. Or do they?

Short, Steamy, and so much fun!

This is such a fun book with a wonderful narration that adds so much to the book. I loved how the narrator was able to perform distinguishable voices for each of the characters, and I loved her Scottish accent. Dani and Cornell are the main characters in this book. She is a demon slayer while he is a vampire. The imagery in the book was really good to like describing the hellhound as an irish wolfhound with glowing red eyes. They are not lap dogs, yet this one wanted on Dani's lap. This is the most steamy short paranormal book that I have listened to. I loved how Cornell had loved Dani from afar and wanted the choice to be her's when she was ready for a relationship. Typically I have not listened to many paranormal books, but I definitely will continue with this author, the series, and the narrator.

There is a Santa, Dani

Slayer, Dani, hates Christmas. However, she loves her bestie who is a crazy during the holidays. How can she dampen her friend's spirits even when she goes way overboard with the decorations and displays? Not only is she dealing with the holiday, her boss lives next door. Her hot hunky Vampire boss. Slayer/Vamp hmmm?
Since they are on the same side can they be more?

This is a fun short read with everything included with a big book.

A quick, sweet read

Author: Mandy M Roth
Narrator(s): Sarah Pavelec

Hunted Holiday: Bureau of Paranormal Investigation Book 1

Disclaimer: I love Mandy M Roth. There is a very thin line between fan and stalker. Not sure which side I am on from day to day.

Dani and Cornell

Dani, a slayer, enforces paranormal law in Chicago. Her boss is Cornell, who just happens to live across the street. He knows they are mates, she doesn’t, until he proves it.
It’s a sweet, quick listen. I may never look at snowmen the same again. Or a zucchini.
I would love this book to be extended. I want to know about the battle they discuss. How she became a slayer. An extended a version would make great reading (or listening), I’m sure.
I am very picky about narrators. Very. Picky. Sarah Pavelec does a great job. Her Scottish accent is good.
Don’t spend your credit on this one, it’s too short to be worth it. Instead, use it on one of Mandy’s IOPS books. They are fantastic as well work the credit.
I really do like this new series. Can’t wait to listen to book 2-Heated Holiday: A Vampire Romance
I received a credit for an honest review.

Fun steamy short story

If you are looking for a quick listen and a fun steamy romance, give this a book a try. Sarah does a great job with the narration, too.

My Two Pennies

Narration was great Sarah Pavelec did a great job with all the characters and their voices, well done with Cornell’s friend too!
Story wise I’m giving 3.5 Stars
Looking paranormal holiday read that you can finish within an hour them you’ll enjoy this gift. Dani is a slayer that has a long lasting crush on her boss Cornell, what’s not known to her is that he feels the same way about her. I enjoyed the joking round between the girls as they decorated for the holiday season. When secretes are revealed for both Dani and Cornell ... to find out you’ll have to grab it for yourself. Its is a vampire love short story with a HEA in the end. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Poor storytelling

Too much porn not enough romance. Narration started like a documentary. The story seemed rushed and disjointed.

Awful

I cannot begin to express how awful this book is.

first, forget about the description. The premise sounds good but there is nothing to do with a storyline. The book synopsis... let's be in the snow with two girls talking about 4 letter words and carrots on snowmen. now let's have guys in rich mansion talk about wanting to do the girls. Go out and talk to girls and fall in snow and grind body parts. now let's have a fantasy orgasm on couch. sex. mated. the end.

I kid you not, that was how the book was written and entire storylines.

I am returning it. It was seriously awful.
