Publisher's Summary

Not everything is roses, chocolates, and vibrators in Zara's life...until Talon, Hawks MC president, wants to claim her as his.

Zara Edgingway is a 26-year-old secretary. She has a daughter who apparently knows it all and a best friend who could possibly have the mouth of Satan, but she's been with her through hell and back. Then there's the hunk-a-licious biker neighbor finally showing interest in her.

If only she wasn't about to face her next obstacle in life, the one she ran from six years ago: her ex-husband.

Talon Marcus is the president of the Hawks Motorcycle Club. For two years he's had his eye on the quiet, reclusive, yet sassy neighbor Zara. Finally, he has the chance to claim her as his woman. Just when her past catches up with her, she'll need not only his protection but help from his biker brothers.

Now, if only she'd stop fighting him along the way.

    "Ballerat Hawks MC begins..."

I really thought this audiobook was entertaining and the story was fast paced and moved along. The hero, Talon, is the president of all the Hawks MC. He meets the heroine, Zara, when she settles in Ballerat after fleeing a brutal husband and divorcing him. She’s been hiding, but everything eventually comes to a head when her ex arrives in town. They had a daughter her ex didn’t know about, so Talon and the club are set to protect them. Narration was well performed.

    "Annoying narrator"

The narrator managed to make one of my favorite books into a hot mess! She has a nice enough voice but she pauses between every word... it's so annoying and you can't get an actual feel on how she's supposed to be feeling. It's all the same tone no matter the situation.

    "Set on a faster speed"

You will have to adjust your narration speed on this. Narrator pauses A lot. Also had a very hard time distinguishing characters as there are no voice changes. Story was good and entertaining for sure!

    "Great Beginning"

Although this is a stand alone it is the first book in a series that you want to see continue. There are many emotions that you will feel when listening to this book there is sadness, fear, anger and love. I had a great time riding the rollercoaster in this book and can’t wait to see what comes next with this group of people.

    "could have been better"

i am not one to leave a message on these reviews but i felt like i had to on this one. i absolutely loved the story but the reader killed it for me. Why was she reading so slowly. the pauses she took in this story made me so frustrated. They definately need a new narator for the next story.

    "Couldn’t finish..."

I couldn’t finish the book because the narrator was awful. She was so s-l-o-w. I even tried to speed up the speech and that didn’t help. I gave up.

    "Not great"

Had to put the narration speed on 1.5 just to get through. Needs a lot of work. Just messy. I think this author needs a good editor and better story development.

"Wish it would have been read by someone different"

I think this would have been a good book but the readers were just to bad. I couldn't tell who was who as she never seemed to even try and change her voice. I had to stop listening to it and hope I can go back to it sometime.

    "Awful narration"

Female narrator was horrendous. Enunciation was bad. Either words were too safe or too loud all in same sentence. All of this on top of the accent. I couldn't even tell when the characters changed. This was really the worst book narration I have ever heard!
