Publisher's Summary

Not everything is roses, chocolates, and vibrators in Zara's life...until Talon, Hawks MC president, wants to claim her as his.

Zara Edgingway is a 26-year-old secretary. She has a daughter who apparently knows it all and a best friend who could possibly have the mouth of Satan, but she's been with her through hell and back. Then there's the hunk-a-licious biker neighbor finally showing interest in her.

If only she wasn't about to face her next obstacle in life, the one she ran from six years ago: her ex-husband.

Talon Marcus is the president of the Hawks Motorcycle Club. For two years he's had his eye on the quiet, reclusive, yet sassy neighbor Zara. Finally, he has the chance to claim her as his woman. Just when her past catches up with her, she'll need not only his protection but help from his biker brothers.

Now, if only she'd stop fighting him along the way.

    "Not great"

Had to put the narration speed on 1.5 just to get through. Needs a lot of work. Just messy. I think this author needs a good editor and better story development.

"Wish it would have been read by someone different"

I think this would have been a good book but the readers were just to bad. I couldn't tell who was who as she never seemed to even try and change her voice. I had to stop listening to it and hope I can go back to it sometime.

    "Ballerat Hawks MC begins..."

I really thought this audiobook was entertaining and the story was fast paced and moved along. The hero, Talon, is the president of all the Hawks MC. He meets the heroine, Zara, when she settles in Ballerat after fleeing a brutal husband and divorcing him. She’s been hiding, but everything eventually comes to a head when her ex arrives in town. They had a daughter her ex didn’t know about, so Talon and the club are set to protect them. Narration was well performed.

    "Awful narration"

Female narrator was horrendous. Enunciation was bad. Either words were too safe or too loud all in same sentence. All of this on top of the accent. I couldn't even tell when the characters changed. This was really the worst book narration I have ever heard!

    "Terrible narrator"

I love this series and was so excited when I saw they were on audio however the women narrator pauses in between every word and it so monotone she ruined the entire book! I really wanted to listen to the whole series but I can't take this women. She ruined it.

    "Annoying narrator"

The narrator managed to make one of my favorite books into a hot mess! She has a nice enough voice but she pauses between every word... it's so annoying and you can't get an actual feel on how she's supposed to be feeling. It's all the same tone no matter the situation.

    Story
    "Cheesy"

This story was really cheesy. It has potential but it felt like it was written on a fanfic site. The story development was slow in the beginning but they were speeding along the relationship growth. The paces didn't Mach and it really caused the story to feel unrealistic. We missed things like the gap between her leaving her husband and now and the two years they had been living across from each other. It felt like there was a whole life there that we did not witness and it took away from the readers ability to connect with the characters.... and talon wasn't my kind of book boyfriend, he felt more commanding then dominating. Not sexy.
