Summary

When they were only teenagers, Axel and Caxton were caught making out in the woods at church camp. And afterward, Cax had disappeared from all the youth group activities.

Six years later Axel is astonished to spot his first love's face in the crowd of a college basketball game he's watching on television - at a school that has just offered him a job. It's a thousand miles away, in a tiny rural town. But suddenly he can't wait to get there.

Cax can't believe his eyes when Axel appears in the same Massachusetts town where he now lives. And he's still just as drawn to him as ever. But he can't let himself go there again, because loving Axel will mean giving up everything else he holds dear.

Both men have so much to lose. But as far as their love is concerned, it's Hello Forever.

It's a pity about Dake Bliss

I enjoyed the previous installment but this one was made less by Dake Bliss's performance. He lacked emotion and had a descriptive tone throughout the novel. The story was nothing special. The characters interchangeable.

I loved this story as much as the first instalment

To have the characters from the first book play a part in this story was lovely.
This can be read as a stand-alone book but made it all the better having read the first one before it.
The story was lovely, although there is a bit of angst it wasn’t enough to put a dampener on it.
Teddy is my go to narrator and I can’t get enough of his voice but unfortunately Dake was not the best. It didn’t stop the enjoyment but be warned he is monotone.
Is a great read/listen and would recommend this and Goodbye Paradise. Listened to both books a few times now and great to fall back into when not heard for a while.

Great story

I loved this book. It was equally as good as the first in this series and I’m hoping for book 3. The drama was edge of seat at places. The spice was delicious. I laughed, I cried, I wailed and whooped with joy at the lovely HEA. Great narration,

great story crappy 50% performance

I love teddy Hamilton and have never been disappointed by his audio but the other reader was monotone and boring and completely unemotional. it was actually quite jarring when he was reading. which is a shame because it was a fun story with fun characters

Homophobes must be some of the worst people

A nasty father with a heart full of hate makes life almost impossible for this man but his love for his brother's keeps him locked in. listen to this touching story and feel live for them.

Hope for us all

I enjoyed this but sometimes felt that Cax sounded bored. It didn't stop me enjoying the listen and I'm looking forward to a follow up in the series.

Good Story

OK, let's get this out of the way, I agree that the narration was lacking, but in my opinion, the story was still good. Therefore, I would not recommend that people stay away. Just be prepared for a less than stellar performance from one of the narrators.

Now, the story was emotional in parts, fun and sexy in parts, and I loved the connection between the two main characters, the childhood connection. But, be aware that there is trauma, beating for being gay, and parents interfering.

The whole background of the characters has been carefully thought about, giving us enough but not too much detail that you are bored or overwhelmed. I loved how the characters built their confidence throughout the story.

I enjoyed the narration, but I would say that Teddy Hamilton outshone Dake. Personally, I would have chosen a different second narrator, but we didn't write this wonderful book, Sarina Bowen did, and I will now be looking for more books by her.
